:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: At least you made me laugh mate. No compassion, no sympathy for an injured soul, just straight in with both feet. :)

To be honest no, I don't have any compassion for him at all, if it was a case of him not earning whilst injured then I'd maybe have some sympathy. As it is I have a hell of a lot more compassion for the plight of the club playing without a striker than I do for a striker who is permanently injured. In reality though I blame the medical apparatus at the club for f**king him up. If I was him I'd hire my own specialists to help my proper recovery instead of relying with the fuckwit chuckle brothers medical team we clearly have in place!
If I was the owner I would do an extensive evaluation of the personnel employed by the club because from top to the bottom there are some alarmingly sh*t people earning damned good money, btw that's money that comes from the fans, who I'm guessing earn a hell of a lot less than poor Sturridge who we are all supposed to feel sorry for.

      Struggle to argue with that.

      Edit: Source: the echo.

We can blame England for the initial injury but the fact that he has gotten yet another injury days before a return to playing and having stepped up to full training suggests to me that although the club had a dig at England about not managing him properly, have no idea how to manage him either. The fact he is getting to many muscular strains is surely a sign that something isn't right about his regime/rest period. Rodgers always bangs on about how good the sports science team etc are when it comes to injury and how they sorted Gerrard but they haven't a clue how to deal with sturridge. He may have gotten initially injured with England but how about all the other injuries he has gotten since being with us. What worries me is that with sturridge out until the new year now, we may as well right off the season now because in truth he was our shining light. We may well sign players in January but until then we have a lot of games and our performances are just getting worse so I wouldn't be surprised if we lose another 7 or 8 games between now and his return.

So much time and money in the summer to prepare for Suarez' departure and get cover for a player with a known injury history yet we sign a load of crap.

Worse timing possible this set back, for all of us, the club and Rogers' job security.

Testing time for the manager, a lot of money spent and enough money spent to deal with these situations. Time will tell just how badly we miss sturridge this season.

according to the esteemed Hollywood its because he doesn't fancy playing nothing to do with a troublesome tissue injury.
With all the information available to medical staff and physio you have to ask the question how did this happen he was clearly not ready for this level of training.

We can blame England for the initial injury.....

Chicken, egg. England had him doing wind training on his scheduled day of rest, obviously it's impossible to say if his thigh would've gone at a later date but the problem originated on england duty with the advice of us to rest him on that day but in the wisdom of the england training camp they decided to ignore the advice and get him straining his legs to the n'th degree.

For me the blame lies with england and I hope the club have claimed back his wages off the FA minimum. Donate it to a kids charity, at least some good will come of it.

His record over 6 or 7 years is something like 80 plus league games I think we definitely had the best of him so far last season.
For me if and its a big if he gets fit he should forget England for a while

      Devastating news.

We need to go out in January and buy a world class forward because Sturridge will always be injury prone.

Problem is we are late to the party again and the question just like 18 months ago is who will want to come?

this is, what, the second time that Sturridge, returning from an injury, has re-injured himself before actually playing again, right?

This time he'll be out up to another 6 weeks.

So help me understand something---given that this has already happened twice, what exactly is there to prevent this from happening a third time?  i.e., when he is ready for training again in 5 weeks or so, how do we know he won't.... re-injure himself again?!  and then be out for ANOTHER 6 weeks?

We need to forget about Sturridge, he gave us one good season and for that I'm grateful but we need to go out and buy 2 if not 3 top strikers in January, bollocks to how much it will cost, if not we will be a mid table team, at least this season.

I think what happens in a lot of these cases is when you try to overcompensate for one injury, you end up injuring something else. So it was thigh (England), calf (Liverpool), thigh again, which is probably due to Sturridge rushing to get back.
