It's Sami Mokbel, Neil Ashton, and John Cross reporting it in the Mail and the Mirror. Three renowned bullshitters. It's a nonsense story.

With not one quote. All created by themselves. Yay!

Seriously.. taking ridiculous to a new level. I seriously hope it's not Liverpool fans creating these stories.

It'd be mad to sell him, by the way. No way should we be letting him go to one of our rivals. He's far too good. You only need him to have one season of being fit and bang, a push for the league is on.

Are you confident that that will ever happen? I'd love for him to go to one of our rivals and after a brief flurry occupy their treatment room.

And, telling the player to STFU? This is the same player who we've talked about in press conferences and therefore on phone-ins and forums and pubs throughout the land. I actually agree with the managers stance on Sturridge, but I'm not sure broadcasting it to the world and the "play through pain" speeches were necessary if I'm honest. If you take that route, I don't think it's the biggest surprise in the world that the player gets a little bit p!ssed off and wants to "put the record straight".

Now it may all be part of the plan, to kind of shame the fella into playing, to make him angry so he comes back all guns blazing. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating, but if it does have an end game whereby Sturridge gets somewhere near fit but then doesn't want to play for us the strategy wouldn't go down in my book as being the smartest.

I disagree it's win-win, He either comes back wanting to prove a point to us which means goals, FINALLY, or he comes back wanting to make a point to potential suitors, which means a bigger transfer. It's clever physcology.

      1) first and foremost he  has to get fit and stay reasonably injury free
      2)  If he stays injury free , (as we all hope he does) he will go straight in our starting line-up
      3) if he start playing and delivers as we all know he can he won't be sold, and in case he asks to move , it will be against a big sum
      4) on the other hand if he keep getting injured, so not playing , Nobody is coming asking for him, he won't be offered a a contract extension either, (don't know how much left he has in his contract)
Its that simple in my opinion , with a lot of IFs  behind it
can understand all the disappointment from all of us seeing he keeps getting injured, I am pretty  sure he is too
We all hope he gets back playing and scoring  for us  asap

when Klopp was  asked about the claims by reporters on Friday, Klopp replied: "You can't make up a story, put your name on it and ask me about it."

He added that the Sturridge speculation "is absolutely no story, not interesting."

      Utter bollocks in my opinion.
When fit he is a truly top quality striker. Brilliant player and one that I hope finally a gets over all the injuries and shows once again his qualities.

      You've gotta love the guy.

This tosser was spouting the exact same bullshit on the Sunday Supplement last weekend so is it really a surprise that he thinks it's a good idea to run the story in print?  No doubt he got his bravado from all the twatter tw*ts agreeing with him but thankfully Jürgen's put him firmly back in his cage  ;D
