My answer would be because Martial is a far better player mate.

But Is he better than Benteke   :lmao:

Each to their own, but I don't think there is a huge difference between both tbh. End of the day, they both have the potential to reach the very top imo, but also to become a flop.

Anyway, If I were rich football owner, I would sanction deals for world class players and play big fees than pay world class fees for potential, regardless of how good the kid is.

      Sorry for being off topic!

For him it was a bad season from October onwards really. His form massively dropped, his goals were drying up with I think it was 8 goals in his last 24/25 games and was almost a certainty he would miss a penalty. He got 30 goals in about 55 games, considering the previous season, the way he started the season and the kind of number Suarez got and even Messi who spent a lot of the season injured. Neymar even said in an interview he feels he has had a disappointing season.

      Messi 49 games / 40 goals / 20 assists. Total 60. And 73 chances created.

      Neymar 49 games / 31 goals / 20 assists. Total 51. And 101 chances created.
      * stats Squawka / Whoscored.com

Now, Neymar in this "bad season", playing exactly the same number of games that Messi, is 9 goals behind the best player of all times, imo,.and creating 50% more chances for the team: 73 / 101..

And Messi scored 04 PK and 07 free kicks..

I think people make some confusion about how a player make you feel, and his level of talent..

Example: when i saw Neymar with Justin f..ing Bibier, laughing and taking selfies; while Brazil struggle against Equador in the pitch, i want punch the idiot in the face.

But feelings doesn't change the reallity...

Bagged a couple of goals within 30 mins already for Brasil against Haiti. Been playing extraordinarily well on the whole.

He truly is an excellent player, particularly when he's surrounded by talent and speed.

Third one is the best one, that curve!

Good for his confidence, let's hope he bags a few more and is up and firing for the new season! With us that is, PSG can F**k off.

Remember Stevie saying it was so important to Phil to play for Brazil. Hopefully a big Copa America means he comes back brimming with confidence and ready to make that next step up.

What's your point? Actually don't answer that because this is from days ago now and not for this topic.

http://jkavo.sportsblog.com/posts/19243459/philippe-coutinho-season-review--a-true-talisman.html   Gave a breakdown of his season.  He really added end product to his game this year even with his ridiculous efforts from 35 yds out all the time.  Vital we keep him this summer, I really think we can mount a title challenge if we keep all our best players and add some quality in the right areas.  No european football is disappointing but it can definitely improve our injury situation.

Apparently his first aim is to get him a transfer away. There's me thinking Phil had his head screwed on.

Just thinking about Couts, his last half of the season was almost as inconsistent as sterling was in his.

      That's all.

Read he's switched agents recently and that his new agent will try and pimp him out to another team.

This was the case for most the team to be honest mate. Especially as the Europa League went on because there was so much rotation, to the point where it was probably hampering us more than benefiting us because we couldn't get a settled team.

It's incredible how much stick Phil gets despite being far and away the best player at the club, whilst the likes of Henderson and Lallana et al get a free pass despite being completely useless.

You're eyes are plastered shut if you think Henderson is getting a free pass.
