The Little Things in Football That Annoy You.

Full backs crossig ability. Almost worldwide it is dreadful and in the modern game they are asked to attack more than defend yet time after time they don't beat the first man, drill it hard and hope for the best or over hit it completely.

Watching Liverpool you have Clyne and Moreno who's final ball between them is hopeless.

Watching England with Walker and Rose and again it's truly dreadful.

If I was a manager i'd be tearing my hair out at the fact the full backs always offer a great option in attack with all the space that gets created for them, and then 99% of the time it leads to nothing.

But then just because they are forward all match we get told they are great attacking full backs!!

Anybody else get wound up with it?

I get annoyed by a majority of players' crossing ability lately, they seem to be all sh*t at it. It does make me laugh how Walker gets picked ahead of Clyne because of his superior attacking ability yet he never shows anything other than sh*t attacking play.

Nothing winds me up more than this. The phrase itself has become totally meaningless, especially when it comes to us. All the managers we have had, or indeed any manager anywhere, whenever they let the fans down "We will learn from this", in fairness, as a manager, you should have done this kind of bloody learning years ago, if you are learning now about how football matches work, the chances of you "learning from this" are fecking slim. The only thing they will learn is new ways to fob off the disgruntled supporter with more inane phrases, "we will prepare for the next match, then learn from that one"

This every day. Giving the actual ball the whole 'Indiana Jones discovers an ancient artefact' treatment. Perfect embodiment of the creeping overdramatisation of football. I bet those Sky cu*ts came up with it. Won't be long before it gets as bad as Rugby Union and a piper on the roof of the stadium. Ugh!
