Great for Kolo and Ivory Coast, i watched them at previous editions and they always had bad luck except the 2013 edition. They lost 2 finals on penalties before this one.

With Stevie heading off I'd say renewing Kolo's contract for another year might be very useful. Seems like a great lad to have around the squad, obviously experienced too and he's filled in well when he's been asked to do so this season.

Agree completely (so long as he's not on a huge contract)

Yaya is not lazy on the pitch. That's a pretty weird claim, considering how far it is from the truth. No-one at City covers more ground than him in a game, or gets involved more in the game (possession and touches). He has the highest passing rate in the premier league by quite a margin (92 passes per game with Fabregas second with 82 and Matic 3rd with 65). He also scores a ridiculous amount whilst playing as a defensive midfielder which certainly implies a regularity of runs from deep positions.

He seems like a bit of a bellend, but he isn't lazy.

He's not played as a defensive midfielder for a good year or two, always plays as a centre mid or even an attacking mid.

Absolutely mate, thought he was excellent off the bench today and he hasn't let anyone down whenever he has played this seasons. I have to say he has been a class act in every way since coming to the club, terrific attitude even when he doesn't play, you listen to his interviews and the way he cheers his teammates on from the bench. He is worth a other year without a doubt.

I would personally prefer if we brought Illori back and integrate him into the team. For all of Kolo's leadership attributes he does not really fit into the back 3.

Having said that Lovren still gets picked so what do I know  :D

Kolo Toure will be offered a 12-month contract at the end of the season.

I guess that probably means the end of the road for Wisdom, Coates or Ilori.

Why do you think that mate?

Coates I understand but the other two, especially Ilori are exactly the type of defenders we need for the future.

Definitely keep Toure for another year.   One of the simplest decisions to make.  Wouldn't be in any rush to get rid of Ilori or Wisdom - I'd have both of them in our squad next season.  Sakho has picked up a couple of knocks while with us and Lovren is hardly setting the world on fire.

This. He makes Sakho look like Messi with the ball but the man knows how to defend.

The guys a bag of nerves most of the time, probably the most jittery player at LFC and then hilariously after making an error he will go around telling everyone to calm down   :lmao:

He is certainly a character  ;D

      True.

When he just misses a header or slashes the ball behind for the corner and then tells everyone else to calm down. I do love The Kolo.  :lmao:

i would give him another year but i dont think FSG will as we have experiance now in Skrtel he's no spring chicken, also got Ilori coming back from loan and we dont want to send him out again we have to give him a chance. Can can also be used in defence so i think we are ok there now Sakho is improving .
