Some real poor umpiring thus far. Watson can feel aggrieved to be given out lbw and Rogers there was a mile off knuckling that from Swann

I thought Watson was out mate on first view

Rodgers never was even on first view, the sound clearly came off the pad

Clarke and Smith gone in successive balls! 161-5. This game has just swerved right into the arms of the England team now!

Listening to TMS on 5 Live Sports Extra - fantastic listening. Great commentary (as ever from the TMS team), great crowd. Take this commentary over the tv any day. Who needs Sky when you can have Test Match Special?!

Clarke going a step further than Broad and actually reviewing an edge. Seem to enjoy pissing reviews up the wall do Australia. Funny if it bites them on the arse.

Glenn McGrath was arguing that yesterday on the radio. He said that Clarke should take a leaf out of Cook's book when it comes to reviewing decisions.

      lbw on Hughes now!

      GG first test.

Smith and Clarke could of got us home. Now they're gone. Almost impossible now. Amazing first test though. The momentum has changed probably twice each innings.

The only explanation must be that he didn't think he nicked it otherwise I'm baffled. ???

Poms game to lose this. (Shows how much faith I have in our batting)

Think he tried to play the system myself. Hot spot has been hit and miss this test, probably thought if it didn't detect Trotts edge, then it might not detect his.

      This could go either way.

Getting the young lad Agar out quickly could be the key to an England victory.

      It's our Test now.

The Aussies still need 137 runs to win with only four wickets left. I can't see Agar getting anywhere near his first innings heroics and the rest of the tail don't strike me as the type who are gonna hit big scores. What we need to do tomorrow though is attack from the off. Get players round the bat, get the slips up as the ball isn't carrying.

The whole umpiring team have made F**k ups throughout the Test and I'd be surprised if they're kept for the next Test.

I'm gonna give Stuart Broad man of the match. His knock in the second innings helped put us in such a strong position and he's picked up the big breakthrough wickets of Watson and Clarke in the run chase. Others have claims to be man of the match but for me Broad has been the one who without we wouldn't actually of won this match. (if we do win it of course)

Id say its 50 50.  Aussies tail is strong and they only need one decent partnership to get near a victory.   It is like 2005 except that they were 8 down overnight at Edgbaston.   We have a few more runs to play with this time but not many more .  To be honest I dont think we have played that well in this test.  I give credit to the Aussies cos they have battled hard despite having a raw bowling attack and a limited batting line up.  Whatever happens tomorrow though,  I think England will win the series over the next few weeks.

Don't know if I could take another day like that Sunday morning in Edgbaston. Remember me and my brother sitting down to watch it anticipating a swift England victory. As the runs clocked up for the Aussies our hands slowly started covering our faces. It was agonising! Was half resigned to England losing and effectively losing the series. But that sight of Geraint Jones sprawling to his left to collect from Kasprowicz was and still is one of the best sporting moments ever and will live with me forever. Don't want that suffering tomorrow but there's a chance it may just happen again.

yeah that was amazing. I was watching it while on the phone to my dad and it was incredible. The final wicket came from nowhere and we were both cursing the fact that Harmison was bowling which shows our expertise! hahaha   It set up the whole amazing series and was only a couple of months after we had won the champions league after being three nil down. Summers dont get much better than that!
