Watching him play now against Barcelona, he's only been on for five minutes and he's been sensational, just had a free kick tipped onto the post as well.

Think he started okay for them but he seems to have fizzled out and seeing no mention of him now.

I can't see him coming back to be honest, at least not to play for us anyway. It'll be interesting to see if Ilori is kept, the only one of that trio that has shown any signs of potential - at Bordeaux!

Seems like a lame ass personality too - not got the discipline or motivation to do anything.

That's depressing as hell that is mate.

Ilori = The Invisible Man
Aspas = Incapable of even taking a simple short corner
Alberto = Drink driver

Meh... the lad's is what he is; a £7m footballer, 'young with potential'. You, more often than not, get what you pay for in that price bracket. What I will say tho' is that, at £7m, at least he wasn't expected to deliver miracles, unlike poor Charlie Adam who was absolutely crucified for not being world class.

I guess we [fans] have matured in that respect. 

Like all players he'll find his level eventually - at the moment his level is about right for £7m. You could argue that we over-paid for him [or 'over-valued' him, if you prefer] but maybe we got exactly the player you should expect for £7m... average.

Alberto is the "rule" rather than the "exception".

Malaga away from home, 1-1. Alberto comes on just now and as soon as he receives the ball 30 yards out, he dribbles into the box, past 2 players and slots it into the bottom left corner,  a lovely goal! 1-2 atm.

He does look like a very good ball playing footballer and is a set piece taker, I think he's a #10 rather than wide player. Still want us to take a huge gamble on Teixeira though!

Watching him in the Copa Del Ray. Seems to be coming along well. Very composed. They are playing him fairly deep which suits his range of passing but relatively average pace.
Just got an excellent assist with a superb throughball.

He also hit the post with a cracking effort out of nothing.

Missed this game, will sky + the full game and watch it later!!!
