Be honest, Costa is a supreme dick and I for one am glad he isn't here. He deserves the plastics.

      F**k that.
      Suarez was a supreme dick.
I'd gladly have another one of those in the team.
You know, those nasty win at all cost cu*ts.

You wouldn't be calling him a supreme dick if we where running away with the league because he'd scored 10 goals in 9 games for us. The lad ticks pretty much all the Suarez replacement boxes.

To be honest, if Suarez wasn't playing for us then we'd have probably had the same opinion of him that everyone else does but because he was on our team, scoring a shed load of goals and getting us the points we supported him and didn't care about his antics and I doubt you, or anyone would have had that opinion of Costa if we had signed him, had 10 goals in his first 9 games for us and we were sitting much higher in the league.

Costa is a dirty, snidey, c**t of a player, 10 times worse than Suarez ever was and yes, like most I would love him here.

      Yep.

I haven't admired another teams player in quite a while Saint.

He seems to relish playing in the Premier League.

I'll admit I'm jealous they have him. And Cesc.

Cesc and Costa are probably the only 2 players in the league along with Aguero that I actually feel completely gutted that we didn't sign. Obviously some top players in the league, such as Di Maria but I'm not in the slightest bit bothered about him, I just think Cesc and Costa are two players we could have signed this summer and would have helped step us up to that level we should have gone to this season and Costa is prbably the closest we could possibly have gotten to an ideal replacement for Suarez. Painful sight seeing them both play for the Chavs.

I expected Cesc to be an early success as he's played in the prem before, I didn't expect Costa to be such an instant success though. I thought it might take him a while to settle and adapt.

      It is.

Those two players will win them the league.

Could they have done the same for us?

      Absolutely.
Surely that can't have gone unnoticed.

I don't think they'd have won us the league, our defence and keeper is just far too weak for a league winning team. If we were going to win the league with a poor defence like this then it would have been last season. I have no doubts Cesc and Costa would comfortably have gotten us top 3 though.

They had a solid defence to begin with though... something we haven’t had for a fair few seasons!
I suspect i transfer committee wasn’t needed to highlight those 2 potential signings...

Matic is also a vital piece in their jigsaw... he hasn’t been there a year yet!
I’m not jealous of Chelsea,  I’m just a bit pissed off at the ease of another club needing certain players, and then actually going out and getting those exact players... seems so easy!!

That's because those clubs are willing to offer the wages required to attract top players.

It doesn't even seem to be a case of transfer fees with us, as both Fabregas and Costa both went at very reasonable prices. As did Sanchez. Alonso went for 8 mill, but we weren't in for any of these players bar Sanchez, who we seemed to give up on as soon as the whole 'London' thing came up.

Instead we pissed away on 'potential' again and then expect to win the league against far stronger teams.

Sorry for going slightly off topic, but it's pissed me off how we've gone about our business again.
