Easiest way to get to Anfield from Liverpool Lime street

I am new to this forum and would like some help.

Next week I am going up to Anfield from the south west of the country (Bristol) by Train and would like to know if there are busses going from the train station directly to Anfield.

Easiest way is to get a taxi mate as there are always fellow reds knocking around to share one with.

There are soccer buses though past the subway exit.

Go to the bus station opposite Lime street near the shopping centre, there are buses that go straight to the ground and there is a taxi service that offers a ride for the same price as the bus.

Head to the bus station mate and get the Sheil Rd Circular, will drop you off right outside the ground for just £2.

Both times I visited Liverpool I stayed at a hostel that is very close to the Lime Street station. I would walk to the bus station and then get bus nº 17. Not sure if numbers have changed but it shouldn't be difficult if you ask around. The bus 17 dropped me right in front of the stadium, impossible to miss the stop.

Walk straight out of the train station, cross about two traffic lights, and you will see a series of yellow bus stops lined up across each other on the right. If you are headed in the right direction, the shopping centre should be on your left, bus stops on the right. 

Catch bus 26. If it's matchday, it's the crowded bus stop where everyone is in red. The bus stops outside the ground.  Much faster than bus 17.
