New LFC Partner (Jan 2014) - Dunkin' Donuts
      Jan 17, 2014 12:13:10 am
Surely, if this is true, they can kick in some money to go that extra level to get Mata or someone high profile enough that will compliment our current squad.

      Liverpool announced the signing

Liverpool Football Club and Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc. today announced a multi-year partnership, which sees the iconic American brand break into the Barclays Premier League.

his new partnership will see Dunkin' Brands enter the UK's top-flight football league and Reds fans will benefit from this relationship as Dunkin' look to expand their businesses into new territories.

Dunkin' Brands is the parent company for both Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins and together they will bring fans closer to the club through innovative promotions and activity across the globe.

"We're delighted to be joining forces with Dunkin' Brands, one of the world's most iconic names. Dunkin' Donuts will be our official coffee, tea and bakery provider, and Baskin-Robbins will be our official ice cream provider - we welcome both to the LFC family," said Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC.

"Fans across the globe will benefit from this partnership as Dunkin' Brands look to expand their business in locations including the UK and Asia, bringing exciting partnership activation to new territories and ultimately helping to bring fans closer to the club no matter how far away from Anfield they live."

I Know it's not the best source of info but here's a couple of pictures to prove it.

Are there any DD franchises in the merseyside area? Real big here in the US, the coffee is amazing. My cousins, when they come over here, bring about 10lbs of the coffee home.

When I heard that Liverpool had signed a deal with a donut named Dunkin I thought, with sheer horror, that it was with ex Everton forward Duncan Ferguson.

Back when my wife and I were dating, I used to bring her a Boston cream donut when I called to her house, so I have sentimental attachments to Dunkin Donuts. Everyone say aaawww! :-*

Seriously shocked by this, deep fried dough.

Not exactly the image a professional sports team should be advocating in my opinion.

We have a global obesity crisis and we are being associated with a major cause of it, cheap, high calorific, fatty food.

But I guess money talks, and when money talks morals go out of the window.

It's only a f**king doughnut. Where would you draw your moral line?

"Ooooh horrible beer brand, did you know that alcoholism kills 46,000 people a year?"

"Oooooh horrible bank, capitalist scum who ruin society and reward greed"

"Ooooooh horrible car manufacturer, contributing to global warming and the pillage of the planet's natural resources"

Shame the Donut Ayre can't manage to get any transfers done though! Bit ironic a donut goes and strikes a deal with a donut franchise.

      Totally agree with Pup here.

      It's all about the money.

I traditionally associate doughnuts with fat American coppers who are tired to sh*t.

We are being Americanised as we speak.

Being Liverpool was just the start, a lot more to come i'm afraid.

It won't be long before they change our name, probably the Liverpool Livers or just Liverbirds.

Totally agree mate, not just Football but the whole of England has. Our name will be changed to the Liverpool Bulls or something cringeworthy like that.

Beer is so much better for you than donuts though....and c'mon...it's not like you can kill someone if you are driving and drinking a beer...but drive and eat a donut and you are a menace to society.

No problem with this at all.

Usually agree with the lads above but we used to have Maccy D's in the kop and Carlsberg across our chest. We can't ask for more investment but then tie the arms of our commercial guys behind their backs that they have to take a moral high ground.

Obesity is a problem for society and we each make our individual choices to eat what we like, no Football club or government should interfere in that choice, they should educate further so we make better choices but at the end of the day it's our fault and blaming others doesn't wash with me.

Apparently, there's only one in the whole of the UK...and that only opened last month.
