As promised, here's some added information on our Youth Squad.  Sorry I'm late doing this and apologies for the lack of information on some aged 15/16 due to Child Protection Laws.

      Owen Wheeler
      ENG   27/01/1998   16
Liverpool born and boyhood Red, Owen came to the Club in 2012.  He's been rewarded with promotion to the u18's squad this season.

      Benjamin Jackson
      ENG   03/12/1997   16
      No info.

      Ryan Fulton
      ENG   23/05/1996   18
After a couple of seasons of niggling injuries, Ryan has risen through the ranks to now be competing with Danny Ward and Lawrence Vigouroux for the u21's.  A very promising and commanding 'keeper who, if he continues his recent rapid development, is highly tipped to become a first team regular in the future.

      Andrew Firth
      ENG   26/09/1996   17
Our current u18's 'keeper has been at the Club from u11's.  A great shot stopper but doesn't command his area like Ryan does.

      Samuel Hart
      ENG    10/09/1996   17
Signed (pinched) from the scum 2 seasons ago, Sam is a highly rated attacking left back playing with the u18's.  He's a very strong tackler who loves to get down the flanks when attacking and he's rapid.

      Joseph Maguire
      ENG   18/01/1996   18
Another rapid left back who loves to join the attack with the u21's.  Joe has a sweet left foot, often delivering crosses into dangerous areas, is great positionally and has the stamina of Hendo.

      Kane Lewis
      ENG   17/03/1998   16
Arrived from Brentford in the summer, Kane is a CB currently in the u18's squad.

      Corey Whelan
      ENG   10/12/1997   16
Corey has been at the Academy from u10's, he's a NI International who can play either CB or RB and was promoted to the u18's last season.

      Joshua Dobie
      ENG   26/01/1998   16
Local lad Josh has been at the Academy since u5's, he's a talented CB playing his debut season at u18's.  His idol is Carra.

      Daniel Cleary
      IRL   09/03/1996   18
Dan is a very strong and aggressive CB who can also bring the ball out of defense to set up attacks.  A RoI International who has been promoted this season to the u21's.

      Tom Brewitt
      ENG   11/02/1997   17
A local lad, Tom joined Liverpool as an u11's player and is captain of the U18 team.  He is a CB and an England youth International.  Tom is a committed defender, who possesses a fine positional sense out on the field.

      Lewis Travis
      ENG   16/10/1997   16
Another player promoted to the u18's this season, Lewis is a talented right-back who has been at the Academy since the age of seven.  Whiston born, Lewis is a boyhood Liverpool fan.

      Nathan Sheron
      ENG   04/10/1997   16
Another boyhood Red whose hero is Carra, Nathan joined the Club last season.  A talented CB but still paying with the u16's.

      Kris Owens
      ENG   07/12/1998   15
      No info.

      David Roberts
      ENG   07/02/1997   17
David can play both CB and LB, has been at the Club since u15's and is a regular in the u18's squad.  Another local lad who lives close to the Academy.

      Kristof Polgar
      HUN   01/12/1996   17
Kristof is a powerful centre-back who signed in the summer of 2012 from Hungarian side MTK Budapest.  A technically gifted defender, the Hungarian youth international is an extremely athletic player.  The youngster can pick a pass capably and is strong in the tackle.  After promotion to the u18's last season he picked up an injury which kept him out of action for the whole of the campaign, but after returning to fitness, he returned to the squad ahead of the start of the 2014-15 season.

      Adam Phillips
      ENG   15/01/1998   16
Adam is an England Youth International who made the his first appearance for the u18's last season.  Born in Garstang,  Liverpool signed him from Blackburn Rovers as an u11's player.  He has an excellent passing range, loves taking free-kicks and is also capable of scoring spectacular goals.  He received a surprise call-up to the first-team squad in pre-season for the summer tour of America in 2014-15.

      Wade Maxwell
      ENG   02/10/1997   16
Another boyhood Liverpool fan, Wade is a talented midfielder who has been at the Academy for seven years.  He can take people on, has an eye for a pass and scores goals.  Newly promoted to the u18's squad for 2014-15.

      Oluwaseyi Ojo
      ENG   19/06/1997   17
Sheyi joined the club in 2011 from MK Dons.  A pacey winger who can play on the left or right flank, he can be a nightmare for opposing defenders to play against.  After featuring for the u18's squad, Ojo stepped up to the u21's for the 2014-15 season and also received a call-up to the England U18 squad.

      Alex O'Hanlon
      IRL   24/04/1996   18
Alex joined the Academy at the start of the 2011-12 campaign and can play either left-back or out on the left flank.  He is a RoI International and will feature for the U21 squad in the 2014-15 season.  The youngster possesses all the attributes of a gifted winger. His close-control is fantastic and he always looks to take on a player and beat them.  Scores some good goals too.

      Jordan Rossiter
      ENG   24/03/1997   17
Jordan is a promising and highly thought of young talent at Liverpools Academy, who has graduated quickly through the clubs youth ranks.  An authoritative central midfield presence, the young Scouser boasts an extensive passing repertoire with either foot and has an eye for goal too.  Having turned out for the Reds' u18s side and featured in the NextGen Series, it wasn't long before he was promoted to the u21's where he settled immediately.  So much so that Brendan regularly brought the youngster to Melwood for senior training sessions in 2013-14 and twice named Jordan on the first-team bench.  In March 2014, on the day of his 17th birthday, Rossiter signed his first professional contract and now faces the challenge of fulfilling his abundant potential.  He took another step toward doing just that as he achieved a maiden appearance for the first team and marked it with a 30-yard finish when the Reds hosted Middlesbrough in the League Cup in September 2014.

      Liam Robinson
      ENG   05/11/1998   15
      No info.

      Jack Watts
      ENG   11/12/1997   16
Jack is a dynamic midfielder who has been at the Academy since u13's.  A boyhood Liverpool fan he is capable of playing as a winger or in the centre of midfield and was promoted to the u18's squad for 2014-15.

      Matthew Virtue-Thick
      ENG   02/05/1997   17
Matty was a Chelsea player from the age of nine before he and his family moved to the local area and he signed for Liverpool as an u11.  His fine awareness out on the field allows him to excel in the central-midfield role, he has good technical ability and will feature for the u18's in the 2014-15 season.

      Harvey Whyte
      ENG   22/11/1998   15
      No info.

      Trent Arnold
      ENG   07/10/1998   15
      No info.

      Pedro Chirivella
      ESP   23/05/1997   17
Pedro joined Liverpool's Academy in the summer of 2013 after moving from Valencia.  The holding midfielder started out at the Spanish outfit's youth set-up at the age of seven and remained there until u16's level.  Pedro, who was Spains u16's Captain throughout 2012-13, operates in the classic No.6 role. The youngster possesses fantastic vision and can read the game brilliantly.  He's a fine passer, who is constantly picking up the pieces in midfield and keeping the young Reds ticking over.  Much of the play goes through Chirivella - and he's a player who the Academy coaches are looking forward to watching develop at the club.

      Herbie Kane
      ENG   23/11/1998   15
      No info.

      Liam Griffin
      ENG   14/01/1998   16
Liam is a talented central midfield player who has been at the club since July 2011.  Strong in the tackle with a great will to win, Ormskirk born Griffin made his u18's bow in the 2013-14 season and will be hoping to impress again in 2014-15.

      Oviemuno Ejaria
      ENG   18/11/1997   16
Talented midfielder Ovie Ejaria joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014 after spending the previous nine years with Arsenal.  He is a central midfield player with a great engine and eye for a pass, and he will start life at the Academy in the U18 squad for the 2014-15 season.  It was a bit of a coup getting this lad off Arsenal in the summer.

      Ryan Kent
      ENG   11/11/1996   17
Ryan joined Liverpool as an u9's player and is a regular member of the u18's squad who will also feature for the u21's in the 2014-15 season.  A dynamic winger who can play on the left or right side, Kent loves to take on defenders and cause endless problems for the opposition.

      Sergi Canós
      ESP   02/02/1997   17
Sergi arrived at Liverpool from Barcelona in the summer of 2013.  He spent his formative footballing years at the Spanish giants' world-renowned La Masia Academy, where he developed a keen eye for goal and an extensive passing repertoire.  An attacking player, who can play either on the right flank or through the middle as a No.9, Sergi can instigate and finish forward forays with equal potency.  The youngster is a current Spain u17's International and features regularly for the U18 side. He made his U21s debut at the start of the 2014-15 season against Manchester United.

      Yan Dhanda
      ENG   14/12/1998   15
      No info.

      Cameron Brannagan
      ENG   09/05/1996   18
Cam has been at the Academy since he was at u9's level and sat on the first-team bench for an FA Cup tie in January 2014.  The talented youngster likes to take up a position just behind the frontman but can also operate on either wing.   A creative and inventive midfielder, Brannagan has the ability to fashion opportunities for his teammates as well as take them himself.  He plays mainly with the u21's.

      Harry Wilson
      WALES  22/03/1997   17
Harry has all the hallmarks of typical left winger - bags of pace, a great touch, ability and accelaration with the ball at his feet.
He has represented Wales in the Victory Shield and at u17's level.  During the 2012-13 campaign, Harry featured for the u18's and was a regular face in the u16's side.  He has been at Liverpool since he was an u9's player.  The wide forward made a remarkable senior International debut for Wales in a World Cup qualifier against Belgium in October 2013, becoming the country's youngest ever player at 16 years and 208 days.

      Jerome Sinclair
      ENG   20/09/1996   17
Jerome is a forward who has the distinction of being the youngest player ever to represent Liverpool.  The Academy hopeful earned a first-team debut at the age of 16 years and six days when he was brought on during a League Cup victory at West Brom on September 26, 2012.  The record had previously been held by Jack Robinson.  Sinclair actually joined the Reds from the Baggies and made his u18's debut in 2011-12.  The teenager has scored goals for both England u16's and u17's.  He now features for both the u18's and u21's at the Academy, showing his prolific ability at either level.

      Callum Nicholas
      ENG   15/09/1997   16
Callum joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014 after leaving Manchester United.  A central midfielder or attacking player, he is a talented player who is capable of scoring goals.  He will start life with the u18's in 2014-15.

      William Marsh
      ENG   01/10/1996   17
Will joined Liverpool from Wrexham when he was 13 and is a member of the u18's squad.  When he arrived at the club he was a striker but in recent years the youngster has dropped back and played mostly as a central-midfielder.  Will is an intelligent and a technically gifted player on the ball.

Looking forward to the lads  continuing  their progress  against Basel in the next round. Good to see future first team players  in their formative years. Tip Jerome and Ojo to make the first team soonest. Kent and Canos also fit the bill.

With the talents we have in the academy, I struggle with some of the less talented squad first team players we spend on.

Come'on you kids time to show the seniors how to conquer Europe.

Whilst everyone is quite rightly excited about the main event tomorrow night at Anfield our young Reds take on Real Madrids U19's at St. Helens ground Langtree Park.  For those travelling early for the evening game and wondering how to kill a few hours without getting bladdered, kick off is at 2pm and tickets are available on the gate at £5 for adults, £2 for children.

For those with nothing better to do tomorrow afternoon, get yourself down there and lend your support to our stars of the future.  Alternatively if you have LFCTV.GO subscription you can watch it live online from 1.45pm.

I'll update the thread with team news and any other info as it happens  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

      Todays line up

Fulton, Whelan, Maguire, Cleary, Brewitt, Rossiter, Wilson, Phillips, Sinclair, Brannagan, Kent.

Subs Canos, Firth, O’Hanlon, Marsh, Alexander, Lewis, Ejaria.

Canos and Marsh scored 5 between them against Blackburn last week.  Good to see Rossiter back from injury, Dan Cleary's been training with the firsts recently so it's a very strong squad.

If I can find a stream I'll post it up.
