These people admitting wrong doing now or saying statements were interfered with, where were they 26 years ago, 25 years ago, 20 years ago etc?? Now that the walls are closing in they gladly spill the beans but why would they not do it at the time when the families of the dead and the people of Liverpool needed them to come out with the truth?

As guilty as the rest in my opinion

They know there's no hiding place now mate, it's all in the open and there are witnesses to give evidence that will shoot them down, these people have no conscience Brian they are trying to appear remorseful.
      You can't polish sh*t.

      http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/assistant-chief-constable-investigating-hillsborough-9139769

Assistant Chief Constable Hillsborough states that drunken behaviour is a ''Liverpool characteristic''.

on the subject of ''hearsay and opinion'' it seems to be a perfectly acceptable entity in specific accounts and not so in others:

      http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-32491001

The senior police officer who led the enquiry into the disaster has agreed he should have launched a misconduct investigation into how officer's accounts were altered.

Mervyn Jones said vetting and amending statements ''frustrated the search for the truth, hearsay and opinion were removed but he did not know facts were taken out''.

Hearsay, opinion and fact still being juggled by the police 26 years on.

Bettison asked to ''concoct a story''
The former S.Yorkshire Police chief told a man who witnessed the disaster he was asked to ''concoct a story'' blaming drunken Liverpool fans, the inquests heard.
Sir Norman Bettison, then a chief inspector, was on a business course with John Barry in 1989, jurors heard.

Mr Barry told the jury he was ''stunned'' and ''staggered'' at what Bettison said when they spoke in a pub in Sheffield.
Sir Norman later gave evidence and denied making the alleged statements.

I saw Trevor Hicks talking and he could barely hold it together 26 years on the poor man has had to live through all of this my heart goes out to him I wish I could give the guy a hug. His wife has yet to give evidence its like some evil state of purgatory for these poor souls having to constantly relive that terrible day

No matter how often I hear Trevor Hicks speak about Hillsborough I get a lump in my throat, and as a father I can barely imagine his panic and state of mind when he came across his girls. It's disgusting they need to relive it again and again, surely his evidence is well documented.

26 years Trevor Hicks and his wife have had to live with the unimaginable horror every day as have all concerned in the tragedy, the establishment is devoid of conscience.

All the families have had to show great dignity and control in order to get to this point. It would have been natural to seek revenge regardless of the consequences but the bigger picture has always been the main goal. Justice would see an awful lot of people behind bars and I hope that will happen as indeed . When you treat the safety of so many young people lives so casually and then show so much disrespect to their memories then a long custodial sentence must be the only way justice can be seen to have been served .
