Ramires should be banned after that elbow in the Sunderland game, hopefully he faces some retrospective action.

Any news on Sturridge? Think he would be a great option off the bench, probably best not to risk him starting.

Biggest game of the season then! How many times have we said this now! The main things we need to be wary of as I see it:

      - Set pieces. Terry and Ivanovic (if they play) are both very good at attacking these. Chelsea don't score a bunch from open play so it's absolutely crucial our lads win their one on ones at corners.

      - The midfield battle. Matic is cup tied and will definitely play, I'm guessing Mickel and Lampard will also start. You have to win this battle to get the better of Chelsea usually. Wenger got it all wrong a few weeks ago and got absolutely battered inside 30 minutes.

      - Mourinho is a very smart coach when it comes to defensive tactics, in fact I'd argue Rafa is the only one out there to rival him in this respect. He will come to spoil, I would not be surprised to see him stick someone on Gerrard and if we play a diamond he will probably try to exploit the wide areas.

I hope we match them 5 for 5 in midfield but I do feel we are a bit compromised with Henderson not being available. If Sturridge is fit do you drop Lucas and play Coutinho in the middle of the park? Do we play the diamond and go with 2 upfront?

Ultimately though, I feel the crowd will make the biggest difference on the day, it's like the match has been lit and there nothing to stop the fire. I an only imagine the fervour and noise levels will go up yet another level and our players will feel like giants again. Having been lucky enough to go to some big champions league nights at Anfield against this lot I'm sure there will be plenty of 'fu** off Chelsea FC you ain't got no history.......'

      Nice one Racer

Right ye fookers here we go......

3 games to go. 9 points to play for. 7 will do. Simple as that to be champions. The last shower of c**ts who we should allow spoil the party is this lot. A fake club, fake in every way. From the manager to the owner to the fans. Fake. Mourinho has pulled a big trick over a hell of a lot of peoples eyes. Over rated. His team are dour to watch with the exception of Hazard. And there fans well the fact they were the only set of fans who couldn't respect a minutes silence for the 96 says it all about them.

All that aside this is going to be a nightmare game. They will come and sit deep. They will do everything to knock us out of our rhythm. Pull drag foul, delay at every chance they get. Anything to slow us down anything to prevent Suarez Coutinho Sterling and Sturridge space to run at them. We have to expect this, the players have to expect this and not get frustrated. We keep calm keep plugging away. They will tire, Christ they have a tough 90 minutes ahead tonight that will take a lot out of them. What we don't need is to fall into there trap and have players getting frustrated. God knows they will try to wind up Luis.

Mignolet needs to up it. They will get crosses in on him as much as possible. They will see that as perhaps there biggest chance.. I also think hat the "genius" that is Mourinho will see Flanno as our weaklink, though as he has done all season I think Flanno will be boss, but he do needs a calmness for the 90 minutes

Skrtel/Agger/Sakho need to protect Mignolet and stand big for 90 minutes. I feel Hendo will be greatly missed here but Allen will give a display to finally win over any doubters

I can only pray Anfield is on a par with 05 and 07 in the games against these. Our boys will need I. Sunday I predict will be the 1st time in a while that we wont score early in the 1st half and that it will frustrating stuff. Its then that we as fans need to show patience, belief and support. The last thing these boys need on Sunday is to feel the tension coming from the stands. This is a day for no matter what a player does hes applauded and cheered, no moans no groans.

Win and were 2 games from the championship and will have ended these vile bas**rds chances. Isn't that reason enough to go absolutely crazy in support on Sunday be it at Anfield the pub or your couch

HUGE game, as they all are...
Would be very surprised if Ramires doesn't recieve further action for is punch/elbow against Seb Larsson (?), but whether that comes in before this game or not Im unsure. To be honest Id rather have him play cause I think Luiz would cause more problems for us.

I think we really missed Henderson against Norwich and with a question mark over the fitness of Sturridge it will be interesting to see our starting XI.
If Sturridge is fit I'd go with...

                                Mignolet
             Johnson   Skrtel    Sakho   Flanagan
                               Gerrard
                        Allen         Coutinho
                   Sterling  Suarez   Sturridge

But if not I would stick with the same XI that played against Norwich.

Think it may be a bit of a test as Mourinho tends to set up tactically well, but as long as we can restrict them to no more than 1/2 goals we should get a point at the very least. A win would be huge for us, although a draw does still give us the advantage in the race I would much rather have the 3 points as we would be slightly relying on Everton or Palace to do us a favour against City.

      Aye Aye Sir!

I'm going for a 2-1, like typically how we do. We score 2 early, they drag one back and we (fans) chew our nails, fingers and palms for the remaining 30 minutes!!!

With every game the importance of the result is bound to increase to crazy levels, seen as where we are and the two teams vying for that spot.
I know Chelsea play the most negative unattractive bore you to death football and are tough to break down because of that.
All things considered, I can still see us demolishing this Chelsea team and they'll learn just how far we've come this season.

You boys (and girls) might not be happy with me tempting fate, but I honestly can't see anything other than a Liverpool win here. I don't think I've ever had so much confidence in a Liverpool side and I just know this lot will not stop us. Gerrard will not allow it, Suarez will not allow it and, of course, Rodgers will not allow it. By no means am I saying it's plain sailing to the title though as I believe Palace will be the big test.

RACER .... you thread starter you.
       ;D

Want to see how they shape and play against AM tonight.
E'to is out so will Torres play ..... against his old club tonight ...... and what about against us on the weekend?

He is going to receive a torrid reception if he does ... and if Agger is playing then .......!!!!!

Cant see many goals in our match with the Chavs.
Methinks they will fill the space in front of their goal and sit it out for a counter attack.

This is the one for Brendan to earn his gold plated spurs against the Master.
Or the one who sinks he eez.

If Sturridge plays he will be fired against Chelsea.

Luis only has a couple of goals to get for the Prem record which Brendan will have mentioned.
With a handicapped start to the season.
      Incredible.

No one should accept the minutes silence lack of respect.
      That should be motivation enough.

Hazard is injured but you know Maureen is being cautious because he wants him for Anfield...doesn't matter. At this point I think it's destiny for us to win the title....and here goes but I think it's going to be a runaway for the boys in Red.

Their line up surprised me and it does look like he might be trying to rest a few for tonight and his strongest for Anfield. Surprised not to see Ramires start this game. Even Ashley Cole is getting a game tonight.

Admittedly I was the first person to vote for a draw, basically because I wasn't sure of the answers to the following questions:

      • Will Sturridge play?
        • Will Hazard play?
          • Will Ramires be suspended?
          • Chelsea's tactics: offensive or defensive?
            • Will Mignolet be able to command his area? We can't afford the same mistake again that he made at weekend

If those things go in our favour then I do see us getting a win.
