Talk of him getting a 4 game ban.
      Would only apply in England.

      Cech injured just now.
      Going off.

Looks like Chelsea may be without Cech for the weekend if this injury is bad.

So there's Peter Cech out of our match I'd guess.

If I was a betting man I'd bet on a dislocated shoulder.

Cech looks like he's pretty badly damaged his elbow so he might be out of this match.

I'd say fractured/broken elbow or maybe collarbone.

Sunderland took advantage of Schwarzer's indecisiveness and lack of minutes. We definitely should

Yea it was really weird.....he looked like he might be ok then when the trainer asked him something when he got up and all of the sudden he looked like he clutched his arm in pain.

I was completely convinced it was his elbow the way he landed, but the way he reacted when he moved it was a lot like how I was when I fractured my collarbone playing footy.

He has rested Oscar, Schurrle, Matic and if Hazard & Eto'o do recover, he'll have 5 'fresh' front players. Its pretty obvious he is in for a 0-0 tonight.

And boy, Willian has immense power and pace. Think he would've been perfect in our pace-pass-press system

Be a huge loss for them if Cech can't recover. Didn't look like a minor thing did it?

I've done 1-0 either way, both sides rely much more on their defences so was never going to be much in it. Chelsea, as you say, are the most boring club to watch in the top half of the prem.

He immediately called for treatment, they finally got him up off the ground and he looked like he wanted to try to go, he stretched his arms up against the post as if to stretch, the trainer asked him something and then all I saw was him holding his arm and grimacing and the trainer immediately called for a replacement. I can't imagine he'll be good for this weekend the way he looked coming off. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a shoulder, elbow or collarbone like Dmasta mentioned.

They are Stoke (Pulis version) with a counter attack.

Can't wait until the weekend. Chelsea are toothless, and just park the bus. We have more than enough quality to convert a couple through their back 10.

Yeah I've called them a posh stoke myself mate, painful on the eyes yet the fuckers get a lot of media coverage. I find myself watching them more often than I'd like to. Thank god we're back in the CL next season we will be like a breath of fresh air in terms of an English side.

Liverpool - Dortmund final would be such a spectacle, although with us getting Reus and Schmeltzer off them might be a bit one sided :D

Perfect example of how Chelsea will play against us. I'm sure Brendans already making plans to break down that blue wall.

I actually don't think they'll be as defensive. They HAVE to beat us to have a shot at the title so they can't afford to sit back and defend. I think the game will be fairly wide open.

Don't think hes resting players, just playing the team that suits his tactics tonight.

Exactly, why would you play attackers when you don't plan on attacking. The only surprising one for me is Matic.

I get what your saying, but they'll have to be reasonably defensive playing at Anfield.
They have the edge on us in Midfield, but they've got feck all up front. I really hope Hazard doesn't feature.

what a ugly display of football against At.madrid, mou at his best...beating chelsea would be massive success on so many aspects..really wish we fill the hole of jose with so many goals in first half.
