Late bloomer in terms of his personal career.
Could be great or utterly out of his depth in the prem.
I imagine next season he won't get many games as he learns the prem and the position better.

Forster to Southampton. Good keeper I think and needs to be playing each week though would have been great to have had him at Anfield. But 10 million for a potential back up keeper would be a lot.

Surprised D.Lopez was actually let go, he was very good for Real. Think we should've gone for him. He is definitely a CL #1 GK and should've been in the Spain national team.

Well, apparently money isn't a priority anymore for him. But I don't know, I'm surprised about it too. He's transfer free though, and he'd sign for just 1 or 2 years I guess. And Ajax are fairly comfortable financially, they've made about 30 million profit each year for the past 4 years.

I expect it's because it is easier to get rid of him than Casillas and having signed Navas they needed to get rid of one.

For a team not in the Champions League they've managed to pull a couple of half decent players, the same can be said about United too. Makes you wonder how much of our failed transfer dealings in the past are really down to "lack of Champions League football".

Man City finally signed Mangalla from Porto, for a supposed fee of £32m. I read somewhere that it might be even more money than that - "Porto receives £24.4m from Mangala sale, third-party owner Doyen receives £14.2m, and Standard Liege gets £4.3m."

That's impressive. Porto have got to be the best sellers in world football. They always sell their talents for incredible profits.
