      Vermaelen to Scum..

      http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/10902101/Arsenal-captain-Thomas-Vermaelen-agrees-deal-to-join-Manchester-United-this-summer.html

Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen has agreed a deal in principle to join Manchester United this summer.
United must now agree a fee with Arsenal after the World Cup, but Vermaelen hopes to move to Old Trafford and is preparing to leave the Emirates.
Central defender Vermaelen only has one year remaining on his Arsenal contract and has found himself pushed out of manager Arsene Wenger’s first-choice team by Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.
New United manager Louis van Gaal is desperate to strengthen United’s defence and believes Vermaelen can find his best form under him.
The 28-year-old has been at Arsenal for five years after signing from Dutch club Ajax. He got off to a superb start with the Gunners, but injuries curtailed his progress.
Vermaelen earns around £70,000-a-week and it is understood he has verbally agreed a deal with United that would see him pocket around £100,000-a-week.
Arsenal cannot expect to receive more than £10million for Vermaelen with only a year remaining on his contract.
Vermaelen is currently with the Belgium squad in Brazil for the World Cup, but wants his future sorted out as quickly as possible once the tournament ends.
He shares the same agent as Robin van Persie and that is understood to have been key to United’s interest.
Arsenal have been preparing for the possible departure of Vermaelen by lining up a number of defensive targets including Steven Caulker and Virgil van Dijk.
Although Vermaelen is not a first-team starter for Arsenal any more, his departure to United would be another blow for Wenger after losing Bacary Sagna to Manchester City.

I imagine the deal is more complex than that 6 million, there's 3rd party ownership involved as Benfica only owned 50% and Real Madrid had a sell on % clause too. With Hulk and Witsel they also dealt with 3rd party ownership, wouldn't surprise me if some of the same people are involved in this deal. Impossible to monitor the money flow with all those investment companies involved.

Kroos going to Real Madrid for 19m  :o

Toni Kroos will be a Real Madrid player as soon as his part in the World Cup is over, according to reports.

Spanish newspaper Marca says a €25m (£19.9m) deal has been agreed with Bayern Munich and will be completed after the tournament.

Would of been more depressing if he had turned up at Old Trafford like half the media had been reporting for a while.

What's been going on with other teams:

Arsenal close to signing Alexis Sanchez and Debuchy.

Ashley Cole has signed for Roma.

Southampton have signed Dusan Tadic as a replacement for Lallana.

A now Championship side Fulham have paid £11m for Ross McCormack.

PSG and Real both want Pogba. PSG willing to sell Verratti for around £30m to help fund a move; Real willing to sell Di Maria for £45m or in a part exchange deal.

Gareth Barry has signed a 3 year contract at Everton.

Konoplyanka has gone from almost joining us to being subjected to a bid from West Ham for under £10m.

Very good that. Seems to be Atleti's MO of late. They did the same when they sold Falcao. Mandzukic is quality. So underrated.

Sanchez has taken a backwards step in his career then. Hope he goes the same way as Ozil.

Lots of talk of Sanchez joining Arsenal because of London, but I really think If we had kept hold of Suarez, he would've chose us. Whatever, I'm over it.

He'll take Arsenal's attack to the next level and I can see them scoring a plethora of goals, saying that, I hope he fails miserably.

Think its more down to money to be honest. Probably got a rough idea of what we'd offer him and found out Arsenal would offer more. Usually how it goes these days.

We may well have done but our offer was probably heavily bonus related whereas Arsenal probably just offered him the 120k a week or whatever he's on upfront.

Oh good, Arsenal have a goal scorer, so how about that defense that gave up so many goals last year, what have they done to improve that ;)

They'll just do what we did for the majority of last season and out score the opposition :/

It's crazy that United are looking to spend over £90m on Vidal and Di Maria.

Koeman taking over at Southampton, will be interesting to see what he can do, will have to build a new team basically. Signed Tadic to replace Lallana, which should be a good signing. But he also just signed Graziano Pelle to replace Lambert, which is an awful signing in my opinion.

He's going to need a new centre-back soon!!
