Yes. If you think that's impressive for a 28 year old, then you don't know the Eredivisie. Very limited striker, who manages to be productive in the Eredivisie mostly because he's older than other talented players and because he's strong and tall, something defenders in that league aren't used to. He's not going to have that benefit in the Premier League. He didn't in the Serie A either when he failed there, and didn't have that benefit before that in the Eredivisie either when he was 22-25 years old and failed at AZ.

That and he wanted a huge pay increase at Bayern, which they weren't willing to do.

£24m for a player in his last year is pretty fair business. It's Bayern's fault that they let him get this far into his contract before acting - they could have go so much more otherwise.

The reason these big star signings seem to go so quickly/smoothly for Madrid and whoever, is because the deal was probably struck before the world cup. The rest is just taking care of the paper work

Sorry mate it was from 2012 ... I should have checked the date. I was reading that PSG are after Cech in a few articles, then saw the price in one and missed the date on it.
