Definitely our future Captain. Hendo will have to be happy with vice.

Only thing I would say is the same was once said of Phil Jones for England and Utd. Lets just not get ahead of ourselves

what a signing by Rogers, lets hope Origi takes the league by storm next season also and Ibe keeps getting better and better.

What does Ibe have to do with it?

Rodgers didn't sign Ibe, Kenny did.

I see a lot of people saying how he would be a beast in the defensive midfield role, I'm actually not too sure about that. The more I watch him play, the more convinced I am that he's a box-box type midfielder in the mould of Toure.

I don't actually rate Can as a DM. Much more a marauding CM. His ball winning (tackles and interceptions) always drops off when he moves to the midfield and his creativity (dribbles and key passes) always spikes. Its an offensive move to play Can in midfield over Allen, and the inverse defensive.

That is how I would sum Can up if he played in midfield. For now, I would like to see Allen in the defensive midfield role until Lucas returns.

What a titan this German is,i would love to see him playing in a CMF role

This is why I wouldn't want us to sign Pjanic, because I believe we already have that position filled with Can and HEnderson.

Hendo and Can are both brilliant players, if we are actually in for Pjanic IMO that can only be a good thing he's better than Allen also he takes set pieces where we are really lacking when Stevie leaves in the summer.

I'm not sure he's ready for a midfield role at all yet mate.

Don't get me wrong, he's been awesome since he came into the team in that RCB role but I feel he's more dangerous for us where he is as he does the unexpected when going on those surging runs.  He doesn't seem to have the same impact on the occasions he's been moved foward mainly because it's toughter to do that from midfield.

Let him learn his trade where he is for now, use him in midfield on occasion during the game then unleash him next season  ;D

As for where he'll play eventually, it'll be in either of the sitting 2 positions and when required, wherever the hell he wants  :D

cant wait to see him alongside hendo or lallana smashing players and picking out worldy passes to be fair he's probably the closest we have to Gerrard in the middle. lets hope as he grows we start to see him take the odd freekick and score a few more goals.

The guy is in dire need for a breather, he can't possibly play a full 90 minutes against City on top form, he was out on his feet last night at the end of the game. We are in desperate need for Lucas to be fit again.

Of course he can by slotting back into RCB, it's not the most tasking of positions and on yesterday's evidence not yet ready to dictate and control play in midfield for a full 90 mins.

Another great shift by the lad!  It doesn't matter if he plays at RCB, RWB, LWB, or CM..... he's always class!!  Hard to believe he is still only 21 years old and that this is still only his first season in the Prem!!

Oh, and also that he only cost us 10M?!!?  When you look at what we paid for the likes of Can, Studge, Sterling, and Coutinho, it kinda justifies some of the other gambles we've taken that haven't quite paid off (ie.  Luis Alberto, Borini, Ilori, etc.)

Brendan just came out and said in a few years Emre Can will walk in to any side in the world in many positions.

Pretty big claim to make already. But not one that surprises, the man is a bloody beast.

Gets better with every game, looks so assured on the ball, he's going to be a massive player for us and in my opinion is Captain material.

Yeah, he's got a lot of work to do. He looked slow and indecisive. Far more comfortable with him asserting himself in defence.
