So I have a question that I couldn't figure out....what happens when a team goes out....you obviously won't have those players playing...so is it a matter of picking players that you think will likely go all the way to the finals?

Once you pick your first squad that is locked in for the group stages as far as i can work out.

You then look at your squad and transfer accordingly after that.

Nah.....I'm going with what I've got unless some injuries pop up. Don't think it would do me much good to see anyone else's squad early anyway...it was hard enough fitting in the players I had with the budget given. If I started moving people around now I'd be all screwed up :D

I thought it was you picked players for a period of time, like for 6 days at a time. Like I have Belgian players but I have them on the bench because they're first game does not fall into the first game period of 12-17 June.

      Maybe I'm reading this wrong?

I think at least for the first phase, you pick whatever players you want and they "play" whenever their games are scheduled...once all of the first group games have been finished, then you can re-select for the next group phase.

My question is what happens after teams are eliminated...do you lose those players since they won't be playing anymore or do you get to replace them with players that are still in the tournament?

The first time you pick your 23 players that's for the whole group stage, so you can't transfer during the group stage(round 1-3). However, you can substitute players from within your squad during and inbetween rounds. Just be smart about it, because if you substitute a player during a round he'll loose all his points for that round. And if you want to have points you'd have to substitute in a player that hasn't played yet that round. So technically if one of your players played early in that round and scored badly, you could substitute and gamble on one of your squad players that still has to play that round.

As far as after the group stage when teams are eliminated. There are unlimited transfers after the group stage and  after each knock round. So you basically choose a new squad each time.

Sagna didn't play which I'm gutted about. If I had checked the squad numbers I wouldn't have selected him but never mind. I've got 92 points from 8 players with Kompany and Hazard still to play.

Picked what I thought was a good team - but they've been pure sh*te 'til now.

      Team:

      Boubacar BARRY

Toby ALDERWEIRELD; Konstantinos MANOLAS; Ezequiel GARAY

James RODRIGUEZ; Angel DI MARIA; Joao MOUTINHO; Eden HAZARD; Mesut OZIL

      Sergio AGUERO; Cristiano RONALDO (C)

Is there any way one can see how all players are faring? I might be missing something but this league is a bit pish that way.  >:D

Picked what I thought was a good team - but they've been pure sh*te 'til now.

      Team:

      Boubacar BARRY

Toby ALDERWEIRELD; Konstantinos MANOLAS; Ezequiel GARAY

James RODRIGUEZ; Angel DI MARIA; Joao MOUTINHO; Eden HAZARD; Mesut OZIL

      Sergio AGUERO; Cristiano RONALDO (C)

Is there any way one can see how all players are faring? I might be missing something but this league is a bit pish that way.  >:D

Looks a decent team on paper Mouse.

Aye the league is poorly laid out and I can only see my team and our league table.

Kompany clean sheet along with a Hazard assist, I'll take that :)

Sitting 3rd at the minute so well pleased with that.
I see Fantasy Football veteran Bad Boy is languising at the bottom as well.
      Not now, of course.

You shouldn't tug the Tiger's tale Si... have you learned nothing?  ;D

Dropped some points the first round of the group games, but done really well in the 2 after that. Just finished all my transfers for the round of 16, went with a different approach.

I didn't have a great round in the last group stage games as I only had 8 players. I made a few changes to my squad so I'm hoping they pay off. Took out Julio cesar, Sagna, Benzema and David Silva. Brought in Lloris, Howedes, De Vrij (from my bench to my starting 11), Cuadrado and Robben.

I'm not sure I completely understand what I'm doing, so I changed my approach for the group stages. Spent all my money on starters and all my backups are crap.

I'm a wee bit lost as well mate so I left well enough alone. Happy with my current 11 for this round.
