Do a Spurs? They lost 6-0 here last season and it could've been 12. We beat them 5-0 at White Hart Lane and 4-0 at Home. Do a Spurs? Behave.

Given that Spurs dropped 3 points and one place on their previous season, the question you should be considering is will it bother you if we do "do a Tottenham"?

I may be receive some flack and I know we shud always be challenging for titles but I'd be happy with CL qualification and a decent cup run this year and pushing on next once the new players hav gelled, adapted to the prem and with another year of development for the younger players. That's not to say I don't expect CL qual I do we have a very decent squad with heaps n heaps of potential but this is a lot of new players to bring in all of whom will be in or around the first team a number of whom don't hav years of experience to draw on, it takes time. This season has been a necessary step in our progress growing the squad but I think despite the amazing success of last year we are still closer to the '5yr plan' originally mentioned by BR than last season would indicate. I honestly think 2yrs time with this squad well be bossing the league

So you are concerned once again about finishing 3 points less than we did last season?

Spurs were never more than a one or two-man team. They lost them both and have gone back to being a decent, upper midtable side. They got lucky with Modric and Bale but even then they didn't do that well. What was it? One CL campaign?

We have been recovering from the darkest period in our modern history and will continue to be in the top 4 again because we have a much bigger fan base and merchandising opportunities with a history of success that attracts good players.

The question now needs to be asked, can we say avoid not doing the Spuds.

I thought they were a lot better than the last two times we played against them. However, they still weren't good enough.

Still hilarious though. Their fans are already giving up on Pochettino it appears!

They need to realize that Modric and Bale were the two best players they will have in a long long time and even then they only got CL football once when bigger teams were sleeping. If they expect top 4 they will be disappointed for a long time now.

Given the showing we've seen up to now from our new boys (barring two occurrences of waiting for the ball to come to them) I'd say that there is absolutely F***ing zero chance of us 'doing a tottenham'.

Especially when the new signings that come off the bench look as good as the ones who started.

The signings seem to effortlessly fit in to our style of play (baring lambert maybe, no dig at him) which is what is the difference between us and Tottenham, our signings will only allow Rodgers tactics and play to prosper.

This question well and truly answered, by today's performance, plus having the asset of a truly talented manager in Brendan.
