Its all good, i think the same thing happened to another poster the other day, quoted the wrong person, not sure if its the fault of the site or the posters in question.

Defintely my fault on this occasion. Thought I'd quoted Ripu when I quoted you.

On topic, reiterate i want Lucas to stay, he will be beneficial to us still as a squad player, i agree he hasn't been the same and yes may have lost some pace, but we haven't been in the CL for so long, we need experienced mature players which is what i feel Lucas can give too the team.

Furthermore i think the emphasis on needing a trophy this season is higher than ever before in Rodgers reign as manager, therefore we can't be weakening our squad when i think players would rather stay than leave, i may be wrong but i think Lucas loves it at the club still and would want to be a part of the squad irregardless of starting week in week out or not.

Agree with this and I don't think we should be moving any players on apart from Assaidi but I know that will never happen.

I think Lucas gives away too many free kicks because he struggles to defend effectively. He has been deployed as a DM so that as a problem in my opinion. Make what you want of it but he shouldn't be anything more than 4th choice. Everyone to their own opinion though.

Nice move for Lucas if true. I think the Italian league will offer him a style of football he will settle very well into and could even earn him some Brazil caps. The PL slightly outpaces him a little but he could b a great for Napoli.

Its down to Lucas imo, if he feels he deserves first team football then i wouldn't mind him leaving but i personally would rather he sticks it out for the greater good for the squad and fights for his place, he can still be useful as a squad player imo.

Stay or go i will still appreciate Lucas Leiva.

We sell Lucas, and the Mancs end up stuck with Fellaini?

      win-win situation!

Exactly! Go for a Lucas-Vargas swap and we have a replacement for Borini who can play across the front-3

heard this on Italian tv  ( calco-mercato)
first napoli's approach  for lucas was a loan deal ,BUT in the meantime (hear hear) they don't want to pay all his wages ,,as was with Pepe

the same they want for a fellaini loan
      Same old Italian strategy

Get sick and tired of hearing about yet another Italian loan deal! Tight fuc....kers never simply offer to buy a player. All this loan with option to buy crap = just lend us a player coz we're tit as fook more like!

Lucas may well want to go somewhere and feel all loved and first choice but he will get plenty of game time this season I suspect and given we have a very young squad, I hope we keep him. He will be useful away in Europe and is always a player to bring on to add a bit of experience and solidity in the 2nd half of a game

Why does Lucas always giggle and crack a smile after he commits a foul?

does he think there is something... amusing, about putting us in dangerous positions?

I just think it's like a nervous tick or something.

Not worth getting worked up about as it's not as if he's amused by it.

I don't get the feeling that BR is looking to move Lucas on.  We need 5 CM's in order to cope with the number of games we have this term.  Whether we play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 (diamond), there are 3 midfield places up for grabs between Gerrard, Hendo, Can, Lucas, and Allen so there is plenty of playing time there for all 5.  I think Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic, Sterling, Studge, and Lambert will all be fighting for a place in the attacking 3 (hopefully we can still grab another top forward to properly compete with Studge for the ST role).  Now, there may well be times when BR opts to play a 4-2-3-1 and we line up with a fluid front 4 and 2 holding CM's, but I think this will be a mid-game tactical switch if we need to chase the game or open up a stubborn defense.

Edit:  I think the only 2 players we may still see come in will be a LB and another ST to properly challenge Studge.  I think Lambert will be 3rd choice, and Fabio will be at Sunderland by Sept 1st.

I hope we don't do another Italian loan deal with Lucas.  If we do want to sell him on.  He shouldn't be messed around like Pepe.  Where his future is in the dark for like a year.  If the Italians want him put the money and buy him end off.  If not keep him in the squad till we find a suitable buyer.  At least with Rene he made a mistake,  Lucas hasn't put a foot wrong.  And has been a truly inspiration for players coming to the club.

Actually you are just acting like a troll here.He is the one who always turns up for big games. There were number of matches in which he brought stability to the game when he came on as a sub last season. You seem to only find the flaws of the player rather than the pros.

For me, Lucas just gives away too many stupid fouls but more importantly he gives them away in the most dangerous positions. He needs to cut that sh*t out but he's been the same for as long as I can remember.

I'm honestly not fussed if he goes to Napoli but those cu*ts should stump up the cash or f**k off!
