He was bought in 2003, so approximately 10 years ago. If you want to be an accountant and put inflation into it at a rate of 5% a year, then that equates to 20 million in 2014 terms.

Not saying that he'll come anywhere near to Ronaldo, but its roughly the same gamble (in real terms) the Mancs took

Lazar is all over the place at the moment. I don't think he knows where to play and what to do..(Well actually... does anybody knows?)

He's not been very impressive since joining, doesn't look like he's a £20m player at all, but to be fair, he hasn't got enough game time to try and prove himself? I haven't been impressed at all -- but I'd like to see him prove us wrong. Plus he's only 20 so time is on his side.

What's this kid all about?! Surely he was deemed good enough for the team right now given how much we paid for him yet the way he is performing would make you think he was very cheap and being put into the "potential" category. Either way he needs to up his game big time because I haven't been impressed with him one bit.

He was very highly rated by Benfica fans,  they didn't want him to leave.
I'm sure he wasn't signed based on the YouTube vids we all watched  he made the Europa league team of the year,  and is the type of player we should be looking at.
Of course we should be signing first team ready players,  but there are young players out there that turn out to be world class, that we always seem to miss out on because we wouldn't take a risk (Ronaldo, Aguero). Marko could yet be one of those players, fingers crossed!

Watched him play a few times while at Benfica
 most times he was the best player of his team, now if its the other players that were not good enough  I don't know

He's sh*t is most of the YouTube videos I've seen of him to be honest! Lots of running but poor end-product. So I doubt he's signed just based on videos too! We've tied him down to his best years, I say let's give him more games and we'll see.

I first saw this kid in a game last year were they played Juventus, semi final I think, and he got sent off while he was on the bench (he got subbed right at the end.)
My first thought when I was watching is; I really hope we put an offer in for this player, he stood out by a mile, I know he hasn't impressed anyone/me since he came here, but I still think people may come to respect what he has to offer.
Got to give people the chance to settle in a bit.
