Dortmund are the best team in Europe (apart from us of course). They lose Lewandovski, Goezte to their rivals, they still play great. Look at their squad and half of them you wouldn't probably rate, yet the collective is brilliant. Their football is excellent and I have to say Jürgen Klopp is really a brilliant manager. Deserves more accolades than the uber managers riding the tide of success based on outspending the opposition.

Shame he can never do it for Croatia.

Hard to take seeing him perform like that for Madrid.

Croatia don't have a world class superstar in every position and the ability to outgun all but 5 teams in the world with consumate ease. Given that Madrid is guaranteed to meet only one of those teams every season with the possibility of about
3-7 more games  involving at most 3 of the other teams, we don't really get to judge how good he is under pressure.

in Croatia there is a deeper problem. National team is becoming a hostage of one man that is motivated only by his personal interests (he dictates who will play and coach is just a marionet). Unfortinatly he is alfa and omega of Croatian football and nobady can't stop him.

Sergi Samper was superb for Barcelona in a lacklustre match, 19 and the sort of technique and poise some players can only dream of.

For what it's worth and I apologise for going slightly off topic here. I had a boss week for the fantasy football on this; Ronaldo, Cesc, Brahini, Messi, Durm, Praet, Chiellini and others getting me points.

As for Modric, I've seen very little of him since he left for Spain, did he get a couple of assists for Madrid or just generally play well?

Madrid 1-0 down and am I right in saying Ronaldo has had a penalty saved?

Lovely goal by Neymar, great little passing move from Barca and puts them up 1-0 after 7mins. Could be a long night for Ajax.

Remy scores for the Chavs and does his groin in the process. Looks a bad one. Leaves them with Drogba as their only fit striker.

WTF is going on at Roma 5-0 down after 38mins to Bayern.

      Shaktar out doing them 6-0 up! Adriano with a hat-trick inside 9 mins (36 - 44)

Adriano now with 5 goals away from home, that doesn't happen too often in the CL that's for sure.

7-1 to Bayern too, I bloody did 5-0 and couldn't believe it was 5-0 at half time knew it wouldn't last. Roma have only conceded 4 goals all season, incredible! 80/1 for 5-0 god only knows what anything above that is.

Wow, Adriano now shares the record of most goals in a game with Messi, 7-0 win and a 7-1 defeat for Roma at home, crazy night of European football.

Borussia Dortmund is already qualified for the knockout stages, the only team along with Real.
In Bundesliga they are in the relegation zone. Unbelievable!
I'm very happy for Immobile, that scored his third goal in 3 games in Champions League.
This evening Roma is likely to repeat another bad defeat: they have to play with Florenzi RB against Ribery and Cole (completely finished just like Vidic) or Holebas LB against Robben. Good luck!
