As soon as i said it, the commentator said he has shown 5 reds in his last 6 games in Germany :o Might be selective memory on my part as well, but every time i watch him ref he has the cards out at every chance.

I think it's safe to say that he's pretty inconsistent.

Oblak for sale? Have only seen him play twice and both in this tie but he looks unbelievable.

Saved four one on ones from memory over the two legs.

I wish he was. He was pretty decent for Benfica too, saw him in a few of their Europa League games but he seems to have improved since moving to Atletico. Apparently he is 6' 1", he looks taller than that.

Shitty game but pretty much as you'd expect. Atletico sit back and counter and try to frustrate and be physical.

Disappointed they're out. Oblak was outstanding.

I love the constant references in the Real and Bayern games to the loss of key players for those teams. All media outlets asking how Ancelotti and Guardiola will cope without key personnel. I looked at the Bayern squad and they had Lewandovski, Goetze, Muller, Alacantra, Alonso and Lahm in midfield/attack and I didn't recognise the Porto players. Bayern didn't really miss Ribery, Robben and Javi Martinez.

Similarly, madrid had Ronaldo, Chicarito, James Rodriguez, Kroos, Isco and Sergio Ramos so they didn't really miss Bale, Modric and Benzema.

I mean the depths of these teams, aided and abetted by UEFA CL  and TV money, has made them untouchable and yet we still have to listen to stories about how are they going to cope with injuries. I know pull another 50 million dollar superstar off the bench and hope the referee sends off a player on the other team.

Athletico Madrid - punching above their weight against probably the top 2 teams in the world Barca & Real Madrid.

I saw a team last night that was organised, aggressive and playing for each other and the manager. No backward steps, fighting for every ball and always in the oppositions face.

We need the same mentality now. We cannot compete with the bigger teams in our league or Europe and until we start to show some of their mentality we will be stuck behind for a number of years.

Barca v Bayern and Juve v Real then.

That first semi final especially is going to be brilliant to watch.

Barca and Bayern should be a great tie. Bayern have looked a bit vulnerable at times, so there's a pretty good chance we'll have a Classico final.

Juve are a solid team too, but I can't see them holding out Real over two legs. Never say never though. Of the four teams, I'd prefer Juve simply because I'm sick of the other three haha

I think what would be more impressive for Xabi if he won the UCL is that it would mean 3 UCL titles with 3 different teams.

I think only Seedorf has done that before (Ajax, Real Madrid, Milan)

Bayern v Barca in the semi-final.

Xabi Alonso and Pepe Reina v Javier Mascherano and Luis Suarez.

If that doesn't make you cry while we sit in 5th, i don't know what will.

Happy for them all that they're in this stage of the competition, although it's a shame Reina won't be playing. I genuinely have no idea who I want to go through. Think I'll just enjoy it for the game it SHOULD be.

      Epic game tonight, can't wait!!

Hope Morata starts, I'm sure he's up for it! Would love to see how Pirlo fairs against the Real midfield. I have a feeling Lucas and Kroos will play and try to nullify Pirlo.

While I want all four teams to lose, I'd have to go with wanting Juve to win it all. The lesser of the evils of Bayern, Real and Barca.
