Do Liverpool FC really need a Marquee signing?

I think people are underestimating Lallana for me which can only be a good thing.

The only world class signing that seems possible is this Reus, otherwise I think it'll be just a waste of money and time going for anyone else.

There is no hiding from the fact that Suarez is a MASSIVE loss for us, but that's football, we have to move on.

A front three of sterling Sturridge and markovic really excites me. Throw Lallana into the mix and that is a lethal attacking combinations.

Can't wait to see it in full flow.

He created gaps for them and at other times but the ball on a plate for them. It's natural for Sterling to improve, but DS will struggle without Luis here. He'll be marked out of the game as he is our only potent threat. You put Luis into our team and the defenders will then sh*t themselves over who to mark, which usually results in us hammering them. Will not happen this upcoming season.

Marquee signing is a bad term just to be consistent, we should never just buy someone because of hype.

Squawka Player Comparison matrix does not make anything easier. No matter the stat churned out, only two players are able to really compete with Luis Suarez. The others just pale against him.

We still need to sign an out and out striker. Doesn't look like Reus will make it.

For the millionth time, no!!

I think we should only sign that Marquee signing when the opportunity arises and the deal is feasible.  There is no point hunting one down and breaking the bank for the transfer fee and huge wages.  As for players leaving the Brendan has said recently players leave big clubs all the time.  We can't pretend to have bags of money and do our business like them.  We are improving and doing things the right way.  There is no need to take desperate actions in this early stage of development under Brendan.  We have fantastic youth and we need to grow with them.

After watching the opening game, I really believe we need to break bank and bring some top notch goal scorer in before the window closes.

Not after watching our game but after seeing the bench of Man City, ti's clear our squad lacks a bit of quality unless Markovic and Lallana turn out to be close to world class. They jad Dzeko and Jovectic on the field and Aguero on the bench! We had Ibe and Lambert!

What I find dangerous about coty is that they have a great manager, top class players, and chemistry. However what we lacked last season was...an accidental slip, an unlucky sending off, and perhaps the lack of maturity to see the campaign to winning. Lessons we can lwarn this year. We have chemistry, we have talent and i think that despite luis leaving we will still remain top four, and if so, can win a trophy this season amd grow into stardom again with our experience
