This guy was a mistake. A defender that can't even stop Fred without committing a penalty is clearly not very good.

We didn't "let" Luis go. He forced his way out, but let's not worry about those little details.

And I hardly believe that having Pepe and Agger right now would have saved our season. Yes we have serious problems, but let's not get too revisionist in thinking that those two players would have saved our season or anything.

They wouldn't have confirmed to saved our season per se but they are better options to have been kept here at the price they were bought rather than having that amount spent on two inferior but more expensive players.

He was absolutely awful.

One could make a case for him that he is one who's price has preceded his quality and intrinsically linked him directly to all the solutions to our defensive problems.

It really is hard to defend or make any case after the Chelsea performance, someone posted a "highlight" video of his performance he absolutely dominates in the first 2 minutes of the video. However after cocking up a pass upfield that results in a goal scoring chance his confidence goes absolutely out of the window, followed by consistent brain farts.

Not so much bothered with that piece of juggling act that he tried to get over Costa's act, more alarmed with the lack of turn of pace in the first half when Ivanovic (no speed star) made a run into the box. Watching Dejan react and turn was akin to a semi trailer going around a very tight round about.
