      Wow, what a ridiculous statement.....
      he said wot?

i find it quite funny how a player that hasn't yet been managed by someone call that someone a world class coach....laughable

      Exactlly.
Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti are world class coaches. I've never played under any of them but still know their ability.

I'm not surprised players rate Rodgers. He clearly is an excellent coach. I was going to type a "but" - a qualifier for that statement - but now I can't be arsed. We have enough negative Nancy's without me adding to that particular legion of undead

Well apart from that being bullshit, in no way was he worse than Ngog & Van Wolfswinkel in Ligue 1, he's a young lad, playing a fair amount of top flight football.  Very few play that amount of games, including internationals, unless they are decent players.

Bit late to the part on that one mate :D. I don't get why people are taking this as him being one of the worst in the league though. He got 1 less goal than his striker partner who is 7 years his senior. People expect so much from kids these days.

Maybe, It just seem  odd why the french media would feel that he should deserve to be placed in this unimpressive starting 11?......Good point though.... Just wonder how well he will fit our "Current" style of play...

take your point about being a young lad and all, But was not the same said about Ngog by many a Liverpool Supporter?... Sometimes players simple do not live up to their potential

;D It would be hard to player worse than these two at present

How about we judge the lad once we see him?

Somebody that can run upfront would be good.

my lasting impression of lambert last season, was hendo putting a lovely thru ball that split a defence, anybody with a wee bit of pace could have caught it and scored, hendo was going mad at lambo, and lambo was like, but u know I can't run. ffs. arggghhhhhh..

As long as the manager hasn't forgotten about him that's all that matters. I'm sure he'd appreciate not having so much attention and pressure on him right now.

Yea that's been one benefit of signing him last season, no pressure on him as no one can remember the cash we stumped up. Lille went to sh*t at the end of last season and he was playing on his own upfront. New surroundings, creative midfielders behind him, I personally think he will flurrish.

I agree 100% - his scoring record is terrible... and thats in France where any striker can look half decent...

He's also only 20 years old and his stats go back to when he was like 17. Give him a break! Not every player in leagues such as France and Holland has to score 20 goals+ a season for them to be classed as being good.
