Will improve I think but won't be as good as Moreno I think.

Not quite up to standard at the moment but can get better. We will improve once Flano gets back.

Flanno is a while off mate.

Whether people like it or not he'll be dropped for Johnno as soon as Johnno is fit.

I think this lad has outstanding potential. I think he's got most of the boxes ticked for what we need in a wing-back under Brendan's preferred formations.

If we're moving towards having a target man too then that will just enhance this lad's claims. He can cross a ball, I've been very encouraged at how he picks out a player rather than zone passes. I can see this lad going on to be an assist king, his defending needs sharpening a touch but it's way ahead of most of our wing-backs, clearly he struggles at back post big men though but that's something his CBs should be looking out for too anyway.

He's come in for quite a bit of negativity, where at his age, settling in to a new country/team-mates I have been very, very impressed. I'd have absolutely no problem putting my faith in this lad to progress and be our number one RB for many, many years.

why does this lad always want to stop and airmail-cross the ball all the time as if we still had Andy Carroll?

It's either the way he has been coached before he came to us and as a young player he's still adjusting or he is being told to do it by our coaches.

I wouldn't be too harsh on the lad just yet.

don't think he's awful by any means but there is an odd imbalance, on the left Moreno keeps it on the ground, attacks, tries to get into the box and then cross on the ground in front of goal, whereas Manquillo gets it, stops almost at the sideline, looks up, yawns, then sends a cross better suited for Crouchie than any of our attackers.

why on earth would our coaches be teaching him to play like he's at Stoke?

      They may not be Fed.

As I said it's maybe the way he has been used to playing and brought upat his former club and he is finding it hard to change so far.

let's just hope they can teach him to attack the box instead of doing the Stoke-cross, our attacks keep breaking down on the right hand side when he gets the ball.

didn't think I'd ever say this but I'm almost wishing Johnson would come back into the starting XI!

Here you are with your morale sky high after a decent performance against Real Madrid, waiting to get going against Chelsea and you suddenly hear that Glen F***ing Johnson starts and you're not even on the bench.

Given the cicumstances the lad has been briiliant the last 2 games.

The other "defenders" with more experience and international calibre should hang there head in shame.

      Keep going Javier.

No one in this new set up, it'd be Sakho's place wouldn't it? he's more talented than the lads we praise in the academy... why that happens who knows. It's a good situation to have.

It's not that strange when you put it like that then. As you say: it's a nice situation to be in.

We are all set for a full squad of talent. I'm happy, I would be happier if we bought more quality in the Winter window. Aw well the owner visited for the last match, kkkkkkk ( anger btw)

Interesting. Apart from being mere decent I don't see much worth in the guy.

He is an excellent defender which is something worth having in a fullback, atleast as an option.

I have a vague recall, BR saying quick in to the deep end and then pull back to learning the ropes for the new faces in squad. I guess, now is the Javier's learning phase.

He may have plenty yo learn going forwards but is a solid defender which is more than you can say for Johnson and at 20 years old he will only get better.

I think he has a buy back clause after his first season and we will get the option to buy him after 2nd year of his loan if im correct.Maybe BR will play him more next season.
