Hopefully we will go on a run of them now (along with the 3 points of course)

      Indeed

And a huge thing for me was with about 2 minutes to go Lovern was still throwing his body in the way to prevent Adebayor there was no letting up

I think I can do five:

Lallana - been out for a while but done okay. From what I seen though I am very confident that he is going to be a very good signing for us.

Manquillo - just goes about his business quietly and does a good job. Will improve and so far, he's impressed me more than any of the other new signings.

Coutinho - thought he was poor first half today as he has been so far this season when he has been on. Much improved in the second half and although some of his decisions may have been questionable he was the only on who looked like he could make something happen. Hopefully that second half will give him a bit of confidence and his season will kick on from here.

We've got more points this season than we did at this point last season (I think).

After our fourth game last season we didn't have a Champion's League game in three days to look forward to.

Not really mate, last season we won our first 3 games by 1-0, so we had 9 points by the 3rd game (can't remember the 4th).

We do have more points in comparison to those same fixtures last season though:

Saints: beat us at home last season, we won at Anfield this season (+3 points)
Man City and Spurs: same outcome (loss and win, respectively) than last season (+0)
Villa: drew at home last season, lost now (-1)

In the end, +2 points. Not that it matter too much I'm afraid, but we had a tough start and Villa have been incredibly difficult opposition to us in the last few seasons. Things will surely get better.

The game is finally over and the players have time to get back on the training pitch and sort themselves out. Thats a positive for me

The positive thing is our top 4 rivals, besides Chelsea, haven't started great either.

      Really?
      I thought he did ok.
Got caught out a few times and his lack of pace was worrying.
Moreno showed great pace but got in a muddle a few times but was trying to be a threat later in the game.

The positive to me is that the game / experiment is out of the way and the team, boss and staff have to learn from this abject display.

We must have watched a different game as well.

I thought Manquillo had a much better game then Moreno. He was constantly creating space up and down his line and defended well. Moreno got caught out of position a few times. I wouldn't say Moreno had a bad game but I'm positive Javier was better than Alberto on the day.

I wasn't saying manquillo had a better or worse game than Moreno.
I was following on with analyzing the other fullback.

      Right, wires crossed.

Wil stick with the fact, that IMO Manquillo and Hendo were our two best last night.

      It was ONE game chill.

Manquillo looked good defensively and offered as much going forward as anyone.

      The one positive?
BR FINALLY decides to say it as it is.
      What did he say?
Something about "we're working on 1/3rd of the budget of some of our rivals".

So much for the Ayre-sole claim that "we would have bought all those players even if we hadn't sold Suarez".

Lallana looked bright and I wouldn't have taken him off.

Otherwise nothing at all....I was very disappointed.
