      I would play:

                                      Mignolet
                   Toure           Skrtel         Lovren

      Sterling                                                   Moreno
                                    Gerrard
                     Henderson               Lallana
                            Borini          Balotelli

      Give Mario a rest.
      Start Lambert.

I'd like to see him get stuck in.
Reckon he'd have some fight in him, and we F***ing need it.

I want to see Mario do well, but last night he just looked like he was beaten early on.
That would have never happened with Suarez, he'd have fought to the bitter end.

That has gone from our game.
      We desperately need it back.

We're at home, so I expect them to park the bus or play very defensive.

                      Mignolet
      Manquilo Skrtel Lovren Moreno
                        Lucas
           Henderson    Sterling
                    Coutinho
                Lallana   Borini

      Or

                      Mignolet
      Manquilo Skrtel Lovren Moreno
              Henderson  Lucas
                     Coutinho
           Borini    Sterling   Lallana

Doesn't matter where the front 3 plays, they will be interchanging instead of having a static position. Would love to see Henderson play more of an attacking in this game and Lucas sitting.

Massive game for confidence. We need to get to winning ways/mentality asap. I am assuming Sturridge is not ready for a start, so:

                            Migs
      Manquillo  Skrtel  Lovren  Moreno
                           Gerrard
                      Hendo  Couthino
            Sterling                    Lallana
                           Lambert
I thought about Borini in place of Lambert, but I think Lambert links up better with the midfielders in our build up play. Let Hendo and Couts harass their midfield, and try to find Sterling/Lallana running in/at/behind their defense. Mario deserves a break as he has offered very little since Sturridge has been out. If we find ourselves down, bring them both in off the bench and go with the diamond 4-4-2.

Hope we actually turn up for this. Go out and F***ing attack them, we still can't defend so we need to go back to last year's plan and just look for the goals to win 2-1, 3-2 etc.

Would be tempted to give Balotelli a rest but I'd still rather have him over Lambert so I'd go with this (in the diamond formation)

Mignolet; Manquillo, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno; Gerrard, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho; Balotelli, Sterling.

Hopefully Suso on that bench and a little run out for Sturridge in the last 20.

I'd like us to break from the 4231 for this. Don't think the 1 up front has suited us this season or really suited us last season, I can't remember which games it was that we played the 1 up top for but we never looked as much a threat.

I would be tempted to try:

                           Mig
       Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno
                      Henderson
                Lallana       Coutinho
                        Sterling
                   Borini     Balotelli

Not for a moment do I think this will actually get a look in, but would love to see something different, something that suggests we see the problem and are looking for a solution. My idea with this team is that it gets much more energy on the pitch for us, whacks Sterling back in a position that has suited him and gets runners in and around Balotelli to play more to his strengths. The movement would be so much better but we would surrender a lot of space for them to exploit in the wide areas. The weakness would probably be Coutinho as watching him against Basel I didn't think he had the desire to track back diligently and that was a disappointment but we need a change as sometimes it appears we're stifling ourselves more than the opponents are.

I don't get why anyone would put Borini above Lambert just compare the stats. Its quite sad that we do in fact need Lambert right now.Something seems wrong at present and I cant put my finger on it but with Sakho then Balotelli clearly challenging Brendan all is not well at melwood

I think it's a choice between Lambert or Balotelli mate, I just couldn't put both in the team, their movement is too static and they wouldn't support each other.

We need a reaction now. It has been far too long that we have seen these inept performances from a set of players who can be very very good. Let's play the best set of players in a diamond formation ehich seemd to be most suited for us right now and give Gerrard a rest.

Mignolet, Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Lucas, Lallana, Hendo, Cou,  Balotteli, Sterling

Hope to see some basic pass and movement, it's not really a complicated game.

This has been probably the most shocking aspect of our play this season, if on the odd occasion the pass has made it to a player there is no movement from the player making the pass which means we are not creating space or any type of overlap into the opposition heart.

      Basel still hurts.

                  Migs
      Moreno Lovren Sahko Manquillo
             SG Hendo
      Lallana Coutinho Suso
                 Mario

Sterling looked tired in body and mind the other night, would have him as impact sub.
Skyrtel needs time to mull over the concept of playing the ball, not the man
I WANT to drop Mario for the match, but unfortunately think Borini is less of a goal threat (that says something), and Lambert looks like a guy pulled in off the street, his form in on the floor. So reluctantly after Wed, would start Mario again (assuming Studge won't play)
Markovic is a passenger, surely Suso deserves a chance.

Just go out there and show some passion ffs.

Anyone else reckon this is an abnormal amount of injuries, by that I mean; is this a problem of the training at the club or just pure random bad luck?
This is a crazy amount of injuries now.
Players that are coming back from being injured too.
Seems to be more to it than just "one of those things" it's a constant issue.
player comes in.. lasts a few weeks, picks up a niggle when he's getting into his stride, another player comes in etc.
What kind of fitness regime are these lads doing that leads to so many muscle injuries..

Just win the match. 1-0 or whatever.

Maybe take Balotelli out of the firing line. He is becoming a scapegoat for lots of under-performing players.

Allen, Can and Sturridge got injured on International duty, not really the clubs fault.
