Dreading this. Fathead will not be doing anything other than long balls into the box.

I reckon it will be 4-4.

If Ballotelli is even on the bench it is a shambles. Got to be Borini

      Drop:

Lovren and Balotelli. Make a statement. Honestly I would rather have F***ing F***ing sakho upfront.

Lovren ain't cutting the mustard for me. Markovic no where near the bench.

Let's get back to basics boys.

He seems to have fallen down the pecking order lately yet I understand his stats are very good. In particular his passing. At least he gets stuck in

Mario needs resting until Danny is back then given another chance as his strike partner. It's just not working playing him up on his own and Borini lacks the needed quality. I'd go with:

                       Mignolet

      Manquillo  Skrtel  Lovren Moreno

                    Allen   Gerrard

        Henderson  Coutinho   Lallana

                          Sterling

      .

Pretty much my team although I would look to bring Toure into the side ahead of either Skrtel or Lovren. Sterling in the false 9 for me, has to be. Time to get back to being a pacy side who kill people on the break, move the ball quickly and scare the shi...t out of the opposition!

I don't even know who I want to see out there Hull have some tidy players in their squad now gave Arsenal a good run for their money and no doubt fat head will be motivating his lads up for this one

I would drop Gerrard he offers very little protection to the back 4 and does not have the legs to play further forward. Let's see if Can is any good.
Drop Johnson and Lovren/Skrtel (both been rubbish) for Manquillo and pray Sakho is fit.
I would give Borini a start instead of Balo.

Exactly. Yes, agreed the back 4 has been very poor but Stevie is not of a big help defending the back 4 either, not that he doesn't want to, he isn't the right player to do that and doesn't help to continue to play him as a DM. Just watch and see what I've been saying all along is true, Hull will attack down Stevie's side and get pass him and we'll be at sixes and sevens.

I'd adjust slightly, move Stevie to an AM role and leave the defending works to someone else. Yes, no Johnson please, Manquillo can't do any worse than Johnson. If Balo is on the team sheet, BR must have a strike partner for him, no one better than Sterling at the moment supported by Lallana.

Hull will most probably commit 7 players inside our half trying to score and we have to execute our counter attack to perfection.

Ok so we are absolutely pants at the minute, but even a pants team can beat Hull. But can a good team playing pants beat Hull?

Toure to start with Sakho, if hes fit, and Gerrard rested for Can. Borini up top with Sterling just off him. Seriously Borini's movement and the fact he gets in and around the 6yard should see him start over all our currently "fit" "strikers".

Hull are not sh*te, like everyone seems to think, even if they were, they will be hard to beat.

I would take any time of win and the holy grail of a clean sheet - but I suspect a draw.

Whats with all the line ups playing with no recognised striker?

I fully expect and hope to see Lambert start instead of Balotelli with Sterling and Coutinho offering close support.

It's because we have got only one goal in all competitions this year from the available strikers. Personally I would like Borini to start but didn't include him in my team as I am sure Rodgers would not include him.

      Got to F***ing win this.

Sooner or later we are going to paste somebody and I think it could be Hull, even though they are a fairly decent organised team.

Balotelli has to be dropped though. Maybe used as an impact sub which I think might suit him at the moment.

Lambert has to start. Borini has more energy but Lambert is the better player.

Pointless discussing any other parts of the team because the back four will remain the same, gerrard and hendo will start, and id imagine coutinho sterling and lallana will too.

There's a couple of things I'd do here. First, I'd bring in Toure for either one of the centre backs. From corners I'd have him tasked with covering the middle of our six yard box, no marking anybody at all. From there, I'd ask him to attack the football and head it clear wherever it is delivered into. If it means he has to run a few yards to get there, clambering over people to get it, so be it. Let's keep the defending simple, his job is to head it out.

On the subject of keeping it simple, I'd desist for now with the uber determination to play it out from the back at all costs. If we get pressured, let's not be too embarrassed to launch it. This getting pressed back into our corner flag before having to give a throw in away is sapping confidence. If in doubt, clear it and get up the pitch.

Up top Balotelli would be nowhere near my team, and I'd definately play Borini. I think Lucas ought to be able to come in and do a good job sitting alongside Can, and personally I'd go with a combination of Henderson, Coutinho and Lallana in the other slots. I'd leave out Johnson too for Manquilo to keep it fresh.

      My team:

                    Mig

      Manquilo. Toure. Loren. Moreno

         Lucas.        Can

      Coutinho Henderson lallana

                  Borini.

I'd be more inclined to play our 1st team here and then rest people in midweek. Also think we should give Borini a go as he actually offers a bit of movement unlike our other strikers.

      Migs

      Johnson
      Skrtel
      Lovren
      Moreno

      Henderson
