Luis was 24 or 25 when he started to perform to a consistently high level I think we need to give Raheem a chance to develop to that level

If we deem him Luis' replacement then it will go one of two ways; either the pressure will get to him or he will thrive.

Personally I'd rather he wasn't labelled as anything and can concentrate on just developing into his own player and not trying to fill a gap left by somebody else in the hope that he is the answer.

Let's see when he plays in a team not just set up for him....remember when Torres left..

      We'll see mate.

I don't think our team was set up for Luis anyway.

if he was two or three years old I would be happy to put him under a bit of pressure but not now.He is the most exciting teenager since Owen

Watching Luis at the weekend for Barca brought a tear to my eye. Not because of what we lost, but because the joy he gave us whilst a red. Simply my favourite player for many a year.

Back on track. Raheem cannot be Suarez like. Their skill sets are too different. If anything I'd say Raheem has more in common with Ronaldo with that blistering pace. But he needs to become the complete Raheem package to truly be the best he can.

Still developing as an attacking midfielder. Really good one at that. Just cause we have a bit of a goal drought, not sure shoving him further up solves problem - and would miss him in his old position.

I mean, look at Suarez main qualities :
Maybe Toni. I'd certainly give him a shot - if not right away, some time soon.

So, if Raheem is a replacement for Luis then all we'll need is a replacement for Raheem; should be easy right?  :f_tongueincheek:

I only hope that Fenway do not see him as a means of getting big bickies for him.
FSG would never do such a thing Billy . :f_tongueincheek:
