How bad are we that f**king Aston villa are in final they sh*t

Perhaps we dodged a bullet not playing Arsenal in the final. Under the form we were playing, there is not a chance in hell we would have got a sniff at goal.

And it's 4! Great game for the neutral.

It went over quickly and Arsenal look like they will challenge next season. Cant say I have any sympathy for Sherwood.

Still sick over that semi-final Walt and this just compounds it, exactly how we should have beaten that shower of sh*te.

So they make three subs; Ox, Giroud and wilshere...

All three would walk into our stating 11 with ease. Says a lot about where we are at the moment. Our squad should be equal to or better than arsenals, not far inferior.

Well done to arsenal though I guess...

Can you believe we rolled over for that F***ing lot in the semi final?

Fair enough Arsenal were good today but Villa were F***ing sh*te.

Depends who they sign over the Summer all they really need is a top striker and keeper to legitimitely challenge for the title. Maybe a player like YaYa in midfield.

Think Toure is coming to the end of a great career. He started this year slowly and I expect him to start next year slowly, wouldn't actually think he's a good fit for them now. Sure a year he could do a job but you know as I do that he wouldn't sign with anyone on a 1 year contract.

Arsene could well go after someone like Pogba, would be a masterstroke for them to get that kind of player. Even Khedira though would be a huge upgrade for them and there's also strong links with the likes of Reus for them, wouldn't think we were only 1 place behind them in the rich list when you can talk about players like that.

Yea Pogba would be a serious statement of intent by Arsenal he would give them some needed height and power midfield.

Can't see them signing Reus especially as Sanchez plays the same position.

It's annoying we can't compete with Arsenal but now they are a self sustainable club they won't have the issues we have paying top players the big salaries.

Whatever people have said about Wenger in the past there's no doubting his brilliance and greatness. In my view, the most important manager to have managed in the Premier League. He raised the standards, certainly in a fitness sense, and in a footballing sense when he arrived nearly 20 years ago. I think most of us would agree that there invincible side from 11 years ago remains the epitome of perfection in results and footballing style. It was a beautiful blend of strength, guile, speed and technique. Much of the last 10 years has seen Arsenal keep hold of the style but lose the substance. With two FA Cups in a row and an excellent second half season, there are hints that the substance is once again being provided alongside the style. That in large part goes down to a strategy of buying marquee level signings in Ozil and Sanchez. They've waited a long time to get to that ability but they're starting to reap the rewards of a genuinely admirable financial model. It may have initiated prudence from the club but only one man could deal in that tricky balance between prudence and doing enough and that was Wenger. They need to add a couple of top quality players to reach the top but they are getting closer. Another Sanchezesque signing in the summer will only do them good. Where should strengthen and who should they buy? I always think they've been a top quality defensive player short. Perhaps a Mats Hummells? Coquelin has been superb for them lately but maybe they could do with another name in there like a Mascherano who would be perfect. But knowing Wenger he'll probably stick with Coquelin and with good reason if his recent form is anything to go by. But further depth in defence would be ideal.

It might be after Wenger leaves and a few years down the line still but I firmly believe Arsenal are set in stone to become an almighty force in world football.

we destroyed this lot 5-1 last season, we could have beat them and should have 10-0 - now we are thankful we didn't get to a final to play them for fear of humiliation. I hope football continues to change quickly because it seems that we are in the pits of despair at the moment.
