Disappointed that there's no Moreno, Toure or Lucas. Frustrating that Can is ill as well but can't do much about that.

Like the fact that Coutinho and Lallana have finally made it into the starting eleven together, if they link up well along with Sterling we should win this.
How is it possible being ill and on the bench at the same time?

Famous last words and all that but... I like the look of that line-up in attack.

Lambert and Sterling in a two or Lambert, Lallana & Sterling in a three - either way, me likey.  ;D

Agreed Mouse but only if it's a narrow 3 mate.

I'm sorry, but did Coleman just say Balotelli runs just as much as Suarez but only difference is, he makes the wrong runs? or was it another player he was talking about? :S

Was multi tasking, so didn't quite catch who he was talking about.

I don't mind the look of the team, Allen played well for Wales and now has a chance to support Stevie G and anchor our midfield in an important away match. they'll get the support they need from Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling and Lambert too. just hope those guys can nab a few goals. also that Mignolet, Lovren and Skrtel show they've got used to each other..!

Looks like a team picked with one eye on midweek to me, unless we have a few more injuries that I don't know about?

Still fancy us for a two nil win, just not sure where the goals will come from.

We really need a result in this one and to be blunt that team should be good enough to get it.

Get in there mighty red men.

First time Lallana and Coutinho have started a game together?

Like the team but the Lambert as our lone striker looks painful.

Is there any other kind Luke? Not in my mind.  ;D

      Anything else becomes a 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 surely.

but the Lambert as our lone striker looks painful.

I'd take 2 own goals mate. Also in all likelihood there is probably more chance of that happening rather than us scoring.

I'm more worried about them playing for corners and freekicks because as much as I dont see where our goals are coming from, I dont see us suddenly tightening up in the box

3 posts on the first page an hour before kick off and all unpleasant views on the team. You're a fun guy.

Could be he can run but not for 90 minutes? Maybe he only has 30 minutes in him. Who knows.

I'm not a huge fan of big immobile strikers though, and while Lambert has good link up play for a player of his size, I am yet to see him use that height and weight in a way that can consistently bag goals.

I expect a tough game but think we might just edge it.

He is on a little drought at the moment. He is still our joint top scorer, he needs our support.

YNWA own goal. We are with you.

I am going to go out on a limb and predict one of our strikers (Lambert or Borini) WILL score today.

             Gerrard
          Allen    Coutinho
      Lallana             Sterling

Behind Lambert. It is as lightweight as it can get, considering the current Gerrard.

To be fair Tom - he's only played 182 minutes, mostly for a few minutes as sub, so I'm not sure that's a fair measure. Either way all that will change today.

We will tank this sh*te.  >:D
