If Gerrard starts again ahead of Lucas it's clear Brendan hasn't the balls to drop him. Happy with the team other than that.

I do think we'll struggle with these. I said they'd beat Basle after watching them against us and they did at home. On form we are more likely to finish bottom than we are to finish 2nd. Sturridge was our big chance to turn form on it's head but now I'm not convinced at all that we'll make it.

If we line up with the same bunch of under-performing players again I think we're asking to be knocked out. Changes must be made, system must be changed and some energy put into our performances. We are the most depressing side to watch at the moment and teams know we're there for the taking.

The way we are playing I don't think Bournemouth will be an easy match.

Play negative and defend in numbers and make sure we don't lose the game.

I agree, pragmatism has to take precedence over values for this match because we don't need to win this game to qualify, just simply not loose it and win Basel in our last match. Would be pretty pi$sed off if coutinho and lallana get hooked after they played decent on sunday in a dogs dinner of a performance. But the sad thing is i would not be surprised in the slightest.

Lovren and johnson dropped would be a step in the right direction i guess.

As for gerrard ... he needs someone alongside him with energy and mobility. He cannot play the lone holding role. I would play him further up or not at all and use him from the bench.

Lallana, Coutinho, and Toure need to be in there. The fact that Moreno wasn't in the lineup against CP still confuses me. Give Borini a shot to do something with himself. Rogers won't drop Stevie so thats why he's still in there. Wouldn't mind seeing him move up from the defensive role and see if he can net on of those strikes.

In all his time here Allen dosent have one assist to his name  , gets bullied off the ball  and couldnt score in a fckin brothel , and yer he walks into most teams posted  perhaps im missing something but  apart from his first couple of games has been piss poor ever since  , just dont get it .
