Which current LFC player would have the highest transfer value?
      Nov 27, 2014 02:58:04 pm
Last season it was pretty obvious.

      This season. Not so sure.

Sturridge probably would have been a candidate but does anybody buy damaged goods? Maybe that's why we got him so cheap.

Who do you think we would get the most for?

And how many players would we get more than £20M for?

We'd get the most for Sterling 34 million or something, Coutinho's value will be in the 20s and so will Sturridge's even with the injuries.
Henderson might be a 20 mil player because of international experience n all that.
      Moreno is a 20 mil + player.

Other than Sterling rising in value there are no other current players worth over £20 million in our squad/team and those that we did outlay £20 million+ for we will not recoup same value if they were to be sold in Jan or the summer.

Raheem - he costs next to nothing, an initial £600,000.

Sturridge even with his injury problems.

Sterling and Sturridge would probably still be worth around the £20million mark, but Sterling is losing value every time he plays at the moment. Possibly Henderson?

Markovic.... if we can find the receipt.

Coutinho's price has probably dropped below £20million now ... maybe £15million

Jordan was priced close to perfection when we got him, so the break even level is high.
We'll probably get a decent return on Moreno.

Well if PSG payed £50M for sideshow Bob I reckon we can get at least £30M from them for Johnson   ;)

      Interesting question JD.

My values for our players would look something like this:

      Mignolet £4m
      Jones £1m
      Moreno £12m
      Enrique £5m
      Johnson £0
      Flanagan £8m
      Sakho £15m
      Lovren £10m
      Skrtel £8m
      Toure £2m
      Manquillo £7m
      Gerrard £4m
      Allen £10m
      Lucas £8m
      Henderson £18m
      Can £15m
      Suso £7m
      Coutinho £20m
      Lallana £20m
      Sterling £30m
      Markovic £20m
      Balotelli £10m
      Lambert £4m
      Borini £10m
      Sturridge £25m

Can't value Sturridge higher due to his injury record. Sterling, while having a dip in form this season is an incredible prospect who would look so much better with better players around him and I fully expect the big hitters in Europe to be in for him soon enough.

Raheem as he is the only player we have that Madrid would want from us and pay over £40 million for.

An always fit Sturr might be worth 40m
But if he only plays half a season, does that mean 20m? Probably. Maybe much less.
I DO think Chelsea AND LFC knew his propensity for injuries before he moved.
After all, Daniel has basically admitted there is a genetic predisposition.
Didn't Dean Sturridge retire at 27? Worrying.

Sterling is one for the future. On last yrs form he was worth 30 or so.
      But he aint dazzling now.

But TBH I don't see much in the way of jewels left to strip.
Torres, Reina, Agger, Carra, Gerrard, Alonso, Masch, Suarez.
That was why we were good before. And why we are sh*te now.

Parry and Moores may have sold off the family silver, but the Americans (both sets) have gradually sold off our crown jewels and replaced them with paste and glass.

Possibly the worst time to ask this mate. Let us go on a 10 game winning run and the value of our players will skyrocket. They´re all sh*te at the moment  ;)

Sterling definitely. A few bad games doesn't change the fact he's one of the brightest young talents in world football.

Sturridge, Sterling, and Coutinho are by far our three most talented players. Whether they are the most valuable is another matter for another day. Let's hope we never have to find out.

      Maybe.

It was so easy for us on the forum to find previous articles stating his injury list at his previous clubs.
I can't for one moment believe that the LFC medical team didnt know that.

You dont hand over money for a motor without doing a full service history check,  an MOT and some thorough tyre kicking.

We are talking  £ 12 million squid here.
Didnt we get him later in the January window than the earlier one in September where we would have paid four million more ?
Wasnt Rafa the Chelsea manager?  Why did he let Sturridge go?

Remember . Luis was carrying everything for us on his own two  years ago this Autumn and we would have been in the sh*te then if he had been injured or suspended.
That was ice rink stuff then.

It all smells. There seems to be many questions we didnt think of at the time.

      Topic.

Raheem Sterling .  Most Valuable Player for resale.

Sterling is clearly our most valuable player. At the moment, definitely over 30 mil, if we look after him and develop him more, I can see his value going over 50.

Sturridge, even with injuries, is easily 25m+. You can see how difficult it is to find anyone who can score goals regularly these days.

Couts, Moreno, Hendo and Llalana are all worth around 20m I reckon.

When you put it like that...you can see our team ain't as bad as the current doom-mongers are making out.

I'm going to be short and sweet here.
      1) Sterling
      2) No one, unless we get some stupid offers.

May be harsh, may be uneducated, but there you have it.

Sadly they still are mate, a "were" would be nice.

The only thing that has really surprised me so far in this thread is how much most think we would get for Sterling now. I would have thought £20 or £25 million, £30million if it was Madrid and we were lucky.

Hope we don't find out though.
