Goalkeepers!!!

I was Handanovic's biggest fan two years ago. Gave up with Serie A but if he's still as good then a no brainer.

Right now I'd take Begovic. I wanted him instead of Mignolet and nothing has changed my mind. Stoke have pulled off a miracle keeping him this long.

He saved six penalties in a row this year, he's one of the best goalkeepers after Neuer (worthy of Ballon d'Or) and Courtois IMHO.
I think that Perin (Genoa) is the best in Serie A at the moment and one of the most promosing goalkeepers in the world. He should play as a starter instead of Buffon in Italy NT. Genoa are 3rd and many of their 23 points are due to the fantastic performances of Perin.
Handanovic is still a very solid goalkeeper indeed, but I believe Inter can ask for an higher amount than Genoa.

Perin or Leno. Two young and very good keepers that would improve our team.

Begovic for me if not I don't mind Tim Krul either.

Part of the problem? Goalkeeping coach John Achterberg.

Prior to him being appointed in 2011 - Reina was excellent, then suddenly turned unreliable.
Since Mignolet has arrived, he looks nothing like the player he was at Sunderland.

well this is something from you I agree with. the backroom staff are much more important then the every day fan seems to care to notice. I don't really look at our specific players when I see a problem in our defense or something, I am usually thinking about who's coaching them and what they're telling them to do! we are the kind of club that needs elite peoples training our players, or how will they become elite?

There are quite a few good goalkeepers in Germany too. Not gonna say I've watched all of them extensively but from what I've seen they're pretty good: Zieler (from Hannover, counts as home grown as he played for Man Utd academy), Leno (Leverkusen), Trapp (Frankfurt), Adler (Hamburger), Horn (Koln).

Begovic - I hate playing against him. Obviously I think he's good.
Cech - I think Chelsea will sell if we just pay up (>£15m?). Chelsea's changed. They do look at valuations too.

Probably a bigger goal threat than Balotelli too.

There's an U17 keeper at Swansea. Used to play for me from 12 to 15 and everywhere we went, everyone wished they had a keeper like him. Great at shot stopping, Great at crosses, is angry and dominant in the box. Loud mouth. Good distribution and Good with the ball at his feet. Used to put him in the out field for matches with no importance, just to give him some variety. Was as good as most outfield players as well.

Neto has publicly declined a new contract but headed to Juventus apparently to replace Buffon (long-term). We stand no chance then..

if at the end of this window Mignolet and Jones (aka Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum) are still our first and second choices keepers, I think I might break something.
