Anyone who thinks the way were playing would beat some of the side in the Europa league need to wake up.

Poxy Thursday football and Sunday league games

Agree. The Europa league is a joke. Will I be saying this if we win it? yeah, I will.

I would go as far as saying the Cup Winners Cup was more worthy of winning than this farce of a competition.

For me, no team who fails in the champions league should be allowed in the Europa League (UEFA Cup). They reached the big comp, failed, your out, deal with it. And this is just one of many reasons why this competition is a joke.

When we won the cup under houillier, we were there from the beginning and earned it. If we go on to win it this year, we will have shown the competition for the farce it is.

No need to bother watching the draw. If we CAN draw Napoli we will. Written in the stars.

It's Europe for fucks sake. A chance to qualify for the Champions League and a chance to become the most successful team ever in the history of the UEFA Cup/Europa League. It's still a big deal for some of us, although I fully expect Brendan to put out the kids and concentrate on the league.

THink the competition is still worth something tbh, still a chance to win a trophy, could set up an intriguing "Derby" with the bitters. Surely this would ignite interest in the competition. Also with two more domestic cups to play in, seemingly all may not be lost.

its not important at all, since the uefa cup was canceled this competition lost on quality, importance and popularity
it may be important to us cause we cant qualify for cl through league placement but im confident we arent gonna win el also

How underwhelming - after the CL it is a step down - but my god, its not the worst thing that has happened... As fans perhaps we are spoilt, most teams in the Prem would love to be in this competition and a run to the final would be great.

Still, looking at this I don't fancy us to win it, which is a dambing indictment of where we are as a team.

Ha ha minds in the gutter.

Ye we need to step up. If we can correct half of the many things that are wrong we can run a muck. Studge for instance will run a muck in Europe.

Hope Brendan doesnt treat it as youth development now... have enough of a 1st team squad that needs games.

      Sakho must start.

If we win the EL, we won't get into the CL. That rule is valid in the 2015/16 season btw.
