I feel like we need the right striker, not just any striker. Someone who is good with the ball and can play wide, interchange and link up well as well as having pace.

Admittedly only seen him a handful of times but from what I've seen he's quick, always on the move and definitely has it in him to beat a player or two. Similar to Sturridge in a lot of ways. From his record it looks like he is getting a lot more composed in front of goal as well.

There are probably better players out there, certainly more affordable ones, but I've not watched much European football recently so can't really comment on that.

Individual players aside, what the team (not the squad) desperately needs is some power and physicality. I don't watch much foreign football, so I'll keep my suggestions to the Premiership.

We obviously need a striker and I'd move heaven and earth to get either Berahino or Bony. Both would score heavily in a red shirt and are made of the right stuff.

We need a midfielder who can step straight in. Morgan Sneiderlyn is the obvious pick, followed by James Milner.

We need a keeper, and if it's doable we should get Cech, if not Begovic.
