A few rumours going around that Bayern Munich are looking to offload Xherdan Shaqiri this January for around £10m-£12m and we are one of the interested clubs.

You could argue we have more pressing issues but I'd absolutely love the young Swiss midfielder at the club. I rate him as one of the brightest talents in Europe right now and he would leapfrog Lazar Markovic and soften the blow on missing out on Mohammed Salah and Yevhen Konoplyanka. The only reason he isn't getting game time at Bayern is due to the fact that he has Robben, Ribery and Gotze in front of him.

Shaqiri's a good player, but don't we already have about 10 AM/wingers at the club? We need to address our critical problem areas of CF and GK first for me.

Absolutely agree. I would buy Shaqiri and take a huge gamble with Sturridge. Would offload Borini and Balotelli.

Why the hell would you want him to leapfrog Markovic when the young Serb is our best player at the moment?

Great player, but we don't need him. Markovic is coming along nicely. Along with him, Sterling, Studge, we have plenty of pace and enough AMs.

Keeper and a striker are more pressing matters.

I wouldn't be against this as long as it's under 12m.

Even though I don't really think he's what we are looking for right now, if he's available for around £10 million I'd have him here in a heart beat!

Agree with people saying he isn't what we need but I'd take him over the alternative which knowing us is probably no one.

If we continue to persist with a system that has us play with a lone striker flanked by wider players, then Shaqiri would make a lot of sense to me. Even if Sturridge is fit, we'd be left with Sterling, Coutinho and Lallana for those positions. Wouldn't be bad to have 4 players for 2 spots.

We don't need him and I hope LFC won't buy him. We can't spand to much money so spend it on players we need!
