Anfield needs a new hero!

Now when Gerrard is definitely leaving the club we need a new hero!Watching Gerrard leave is one of the biggest disapointments in my life so now im eager to see who will take charge on the pitch and who will be our new hero and leader.I would like to know what do people from England and Scousers think who will that be,will Hendo be the one,or maybe Daniel Sturridge,or maybe someone else,what are yours thoughts who will that be,please share.

Agreed. We can't afford to have passengers or players looking at each other and expecting miracles. Instead of looking for the next Roy of the Rogers who'll drag the team out of the sh*te and propel us to victory... How about we don't jump in the toilet and get covered in sh*te in the first place?

Maybe BR is a good motivator but i am not sure for hes leadership.I still do like as a manager of the Liverpool.

Why just one hero? The team I remember from my primary school days had Barnes, Rush, Beardsley, Aldridge, Molby, McMahon, Hansen, Brucie, Nicol, Staunton......... And the King in the manager's seat! Jesus those were the days!

In the next few seasons I expect Markovic, Coutinho, Sturridge, Can, Hendo and sterling ( if he's still here) to be the heroes in the team.
I can't see another Torres, Gerrard or Suarez on the horizon, so the heroes tag may be spread around the team.

I agree. we need to re-establish the working class mentality of graft aligned to good football. It's harder now of course, because the players are millionaires whose stock in trade is protecting their assets i.e. their body, and protecting their brand .. and writing that last bit makes me want to vomit.

I am not very in touch with the youth system of LFC. Do we have the next Stevie G coming up anywhere?

Its hard to have heroes now when every player is chasing the money!
I would love to see Sterling and Sturridge playing for Liverpool for a long time but i just dont see it happen.

I think Marko will be our new hero. Wasn't too sure about him when he first played but now he is getting a regular run out, he seems to have speed and attitude to be a great hit for us.

I think we'll have quite a few heroes in the next season or so. 

There's a sprinkling of stardust around the squad right now and although it may take a while for them to bloom, plenty will emerge to follow in the footsteps of our greats.

Rush Beardsley and Barnes were for a short while together. I don't think Aldo, Molby and the others could. Hansen was basically ready to quit around then. Nicol was v good, but not really a "hero".

I can name about EIGHT heroes we've sold in the past 5 years or so. And probably ONE signed (Luis) who got asset stripped out too.

This has a huge effect on morale in the squad, on our chances of silverware AND on our chances of top level sponsors.
It is a vicious circle hidden in corporate propaganda and buzz speak.

If Sterling stays in liverpool i dont think that he has te mentallity to become a hero of Anfield,but i trust in Sturridge,if he stays in Liverpool and if injuries dont handicap him he could be new Anfield hero.But i am not sure for his club loyalty.
