I don't get why he is going forward so much when he is meant to be a centre back. I've seen him on the edge of their 18 yard box, at right wing and then right up with Coutinho a few times. I wish he would just sit back.

Not that I'm a fan of Johnson at all but how much is he expected to offer exactly going forward when he's playing in central defense? Manquillo has to do a lot more.

how was that a good play by simon? can was taking care of it, then simon decides to run to take the ball, realised that he cant handle the ball so he takes few moments to choose a pass. in which moments somebody just about knicked it from him. That is everything you are told not to do as a keeper.

He won it and passed it. I trust Can to collect it, but it might have been dicey. Migs took that out of the equation. I'm glad he is getting bolder at leaving his line.

Can ran up a fair amount to when he was on the right. Maybe Rodgers has instructed the RCB to get up more? Just guessing really.

Well we aren't behind, and we look the better side. Need two up too to put a bit more pressure on their back line.
With the upsets today, we need to remain solid at the back, and create more chances from our possession.
Johnson ahite as usual, and Raheem needs closer support and we need to score early in second half.

Or at the very least one of our more offensive players busting a gut to get in the box when Raheem is 3v1 on the wings. Be interested to watch Hendo playing further up the field as he's someone who is fairly good at that.

Both wing backs are offering nothing and if anything slowing the game down.

Still think we will take a couple of chances in the second half so not overly concerned.

Agreed that Migs was a touch dodgy there, but at least he came out side the 6 yard box!

Probably need to get Borini on, if for no other reason than to get someone who will stay up top. I'd probably pull Lallana off and move Sterling wider. At some point in the second half I'd get Markovic on for Manquillo too. All in all though they are defending well and we're going to need to step in up.

It's also clear that Henderson doesn't trust Allen as much as he does Lucas, looking far more reluctant to get forward than he did on Tues.

Yeah I'm surprised we didn't start with one. I was fully expecting us to go with either Lambert or Borini and go strikerless at Chelsea.

Throw on Markovic for Enrique. Jose has offered very little and I think with a couple of Bolton players on that side of the pitch on yellow cards that Markovic' pace could cause problems.
