LFC Foundation Game: Gerrard XI 2:2 Carragher XI

It's going to be awesome seeing some of these lads back at Anfield and playing in Red again.

Fernando Torres could return to Anfield to honour departing captain Steven Gerrard in March.

During the upcoming international break at the end of March, Gerrard has invited some of his former friends and team-mates to the home of Liverpool to play in a special testimonial match.

Marca report that Gerrard has invited over Torres, along with Xabi Alonso and Luis Suarez, to play in the one-off match on March 29. Pepe Reina and Javier Mascherano are also on the 34-year-old's list.

Gerrard was said to be heartbroken when Torres left the club in a £50million switch to Chelsea, where the Spaniard struggled to recapture the form that made him an icon on Merseyside.

The match is set to celebrate Gerrard's lifelong commitment to the club, ahead of his move to LA Galaxy at the end of the season, with whom he has signed a two-year deal.

Gerrard's final appearance for Liverpool is likely to be the league game against Crystal Palace at Anfield, on the final day of the season on May 16.

Torres' record transfer to Stamford Bridge on January deadline day 2011 turned out to be a flop with the striker never hitting the heights he experienced during his Anfield days.

The Spaniard departed to Milan initially on loan before making the move permanent earlier this year, although he is currently on loan at boyhood club Atletico Madrid

Whilst the seasons on? I'd imagine Luis for one will be on international duty won't he?

If they all attend though that'll be a boss match to watch.

Irrespective of the fact all of these pushed for a move out of the club I would be happy to welcome back some of the best players of the last 15 years at Liverpool.

Torres, Suarez, Alonso - you'd be hard pushed to name three better players during the past 10 years at LFC.

PS. Does anyone want to buy a Fernando Torres signed LFC shirt?

Friendly in Morocco on the 28th?

Just realised I'm in Liverpool the night before this for my bosses hen party, so might as well try to get a ticket seeing as I'm on the right side of the country  :D

I'm guessing it'll be first come, first served for tickets rather than the usual matchday rules?

Not sure you know, last time I went to Anfield for a charity or non league game- it was sold out.

Torres can f**k off, money grabbing b***ard. Don't want him near Anfield.

He could have left for a foreign club if he loved us so much, not F***ing Chelsky.

Never understood the bitterness towards Torres, pretty shitty attitude by our fans to tell the truth.

Doesn't surprise me mate but they won't put them out to ST holders only first, like they normally do, will they?

Well ST holders deserve first priority always, I haven't got the answer, but I'd think you're OK there? You can get the ticket when you choose.

That's a serious line up that, imagine that team.

I'm hoping to see Finnan, Hyypia, Carra, Garcia alongside those named.

      Going to be Boss.
