A tough one for the boss this. We've played so many games in such a short space. With city coming up on Sunday which we should prioritise and the fact we already hold a slight advantage in this tie already - I think he has to rest players.

Sturridge a rest he has not played all season and Raheem had 2 weeks in the Caribbean.
Coutinho and Hendo maybe but the fact that Jordan is a machine he is probably running in his dreams.

ibe will 100% play and so will Sturridge hence why DS didnt start on the weekend. Sterling shouldnt get a bloody rest ever again till he signs that contract. i hope Sakho is fit if not then fit for Sunday

Besiktas are not that better regarding missing players for this tie
 they have 4 defenders missing due to injuries and suspensions and thier main keeper missing too
  so hopfully we can take advantage of that than they will do  from our missing players

This team pretty much picks itself with the absences. Unless he throws in kids but I can't see us not taking this competition seriously after the disaster of the Champions League campaign.

Only concern would be lack of pace and ball playing ability from the back.

With Couts being rested and Hendo not risked with a minor niggle it suggest Rodgers is probably prioritising the league over EL.

They never offered much coming forward at Anfield other than a through ball to Demba Ba.

I would stick with Can, Skrtl & Lovren at the back.

The fact that they have to come out and attack will play into our hands and I think our attack will tear them a new one.

Holy F***ing sh*t I'd love to see Williams/Lussey/Brannagan get a run out in our midfield, Williams especially for who we've got missing as he's more a sitter than the others.

I tell you what that is an exciting team when you look at it like that with the potential to push Can in the middle for allen or hendo as the game goes on and bring on Kolo or Lovern. i really hope to see this line up very soon as it gives me wood just looking at it

Looking at the injuries we don't really have many options.

Either Lallana and Sterling in behind Sturridge or Sterling in behind Sturridge and Mario.
If Can is going to stay in his defensive role then Williams will need to feature.

He won't go back to 4 at the back.   The gamble is already on leaving a couple of 'ankle knocks' at home - even riskier to rechange the system they've been training with for the past 3 months.

Lovren mistake for a goal to them but we'll get an away goal so happy days.
