This is gonna be a difficult game as they'll sit deep and defend, probably more difficult than the Man City game.

I think we should play Sturridge for this and have our wing backs practically play as wingers, stretching them as often as possible.

      We should not underestimate Burnley.

We should approach it in the same manner as Shitty and Spuds.

      1-0 to us.

If they do indeed lock the door the Citeh game is all the proof needed that we have the means of muscling in.
Scored two, overran the fuckers and had two outstanding attempts disallowed - bring it on.

Going to be a tough game this. They've drawn at City and Chelsea and also dominated United for long periods the other week.

I'd bring Sakho back in if he's fit and push Sterling out to the right side in place of Markovic to give Sturridge a chance to show if he actually wants to play for the team.

Last time we played Burnley at Anfield - Premier League 12 September 2009. Won 4-0. Benayoun hat-trick and Dirk Kuyt goal.

Hoping for a similar scoreline although wouldn't surprise me, given the speculation, if Ings got a goal.

Hard game I agree, esp. after a big match against City to motivate our lads is not going to be easy for Rodgers.
As for Sterling I seen Brendan mentioning today he tried Raheem in wide role vs Newcastle but "it didn't suit him," doubt he´d do it again.

We need to keep rolling, and to do that we must put out our best:
      Migs

      Can
      Skrtel
      Lovren (possibly Sahko if fit)

      Sterling
      Hendo
      Allen
      Moreno

      Lallana
      Couthino

      Studge

Plenty of speed on the wings to help open up a team that will surely sit and park the bus. This should be a 3-0 win, but will be conservative and call for 1-0.

Difficult game, expect to see this XI, but potentially switch Lallana and Sterling.

                                Mignolet
                          Can    Skrtel Sakho/Lovren
              Sterling  Henderson Allen  Moreno
                           Lallana   Coutinho
                                 Sturridge

Ward; Sakho/Lov, Toure; Markovic; Borini, Lambert, Balotelli

Three games ago was hoping for a decent return from Spuds/Saints/Shiity. Didn't think we'd manage to come away with all 9 pts ... would have probably settled for 7 if offered three games ago. Brilliant run from BR and the lads !!

Can't be complacent though - sometimes these games come along vs. the 'minnows' and the tempo's not quite up there, passes go astray, the atmosphere gets a bit frustrated. An early goal from Cou from outside the box in the first 10 mins would settle us nicely. Seriously :)

Games are starting to run out, so every point matters - don't get more pts for beating Shitty than these boys, so up and at it from the off, am sure BR will have them focused, even though am sure there must be tiredness creeping into some legs. CMON BOYS!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldnt risk Sakho if he aint fully fit. Wouldnt really play Sterling as wing-back, why disrupt something thats going well?

      Mignolet
      Can-Skrtel-Lovren
      Markovic-Hendo-Allen-Moreno
      Lallana-Coutinho
      Sturridge

Yea I agree mate, think these boys will actually be tricky 'cos they do have a bit of pace and Ings up front to hit us on the counter. Getting the WBs up as wide as possible to create space.

They haven't won a game for 2 months, but they did give Chelsea a real scare with deep defending and counter-attacking, so our defence and DMs have to be preparaed to run their socks off.

It's gonna be tight I reckon, but perfectly set up for another Couts edge-of-the-box curler :)

I don't think Burnley will sit back at all it's not how they play and certainly did not against the Mancs and Chavs.

However if the away fixture is any guide then they will look to press us high up the pitch, I remember them launching long balls and stopping us from playing out the back. Gerrard had awful problems being hassled.

The key will be how we play out of the press and the fact we have Can and Lovren showed in the second half he is able to play Sakhoesqe passes. Also little Joe is very capable of taking the ball facing goal and turning we should be able to exploit their high press.
