Cameron Brannagan Contract situation!

It seems we're having contract problems across the board for whatever reason.

We're losing one of our best ever players and Club Captain in Stevie G this summer due to us (allegedly) failing to put an extension in front of him last summer.  We've (allegedly) lowballed our current Vice Captain and potentially next Club Captain on his contract extension, when his current deal runs out next year.  Raheems situation is causing all sorts of ructions amongst the fan base.

Now we have one of our brightest talents at youth level, our current u18's Captain Cam Brannagan, possibly leaving us in the summer.  There were rumours last summer that Barca and RM were sniffing round possibly due to them being pissed at us taking Canos and Paez from under their noses but that's not the point.

What the F**k are Ayre and Edwards doing.  I don't like the fact that Brendan has no say in contract negotiations, surely his input is vital for which players he wants to remain at the Club.  How can the Club promote loyalty from the players when they aren't being shown they're valued by the Club?

There is no doubt we are having far too many player contract problems and the problem needs sorting out quickly. Regarding Brendan Rodgers surely it is up to him to put his foot down and demand he has input into player contracts. It is about time the club came clean on these contracts and divulged what the problems are.

Haven't you heard? FSG know exactly what they're doing and all these players are just greedy buggers who can do one if they don't sign

Losing one of our best youth players would be a complete contradiction of the clubs philosophy at the moment.

A major part of the philosophy is based upon coaching players to greatness and by reinvigorating the youth system. Wasn't that one of the major reasons for bringing in a coaching manager like Rodgers, by outsmarting higher spenders by developing the top talent? What kind of message is it sending to the fans that the men in suits are more concerned with making maximum financial gain rather than aiming for footballing gains?

If footballing philosophy is second to none for the owners and the increasingly incompetent Ayre and Edwards, then these young lads will be signed up no matter what.

Lose them, and FSG have just completely undermined their entire plan, leaving it on very flimsy and unstable ground. And who are the ones who feel the pain? Us fans..... yet again.

Well at senior level Sterling's situation was bound to cause problems with other players and if we cave in and 'pay him whatever he wants' it will continue to cause problems further down the line. As for the Youth player, have you considered that perhaps his wage demands are unreasonable for an eighteen year old, or that the club might not think he's going to make the cut? Why suddenly jump to the conclusion that Ayre is to blame for all this? Enough with the f**king hysteria and finger pointing, people need to get a grip. When players have achieved something then they can demand super star wages. Until then, get your head down and win us a f**king trophy or two. Then we can talk seven figure salaries.

To be honest, I agree with the clubs decision of Gerrard and Sterling (if the rumours are correct that we offer 100k and he wants more).

But I would sort Henderson soon because he is improving by the minute.
