It's a deliberate stamp and it's a 3 match ban fully deserved. Being a Liverpool player means nothing.

There is a world of difference in the Gerrard incident and this one.
SG made a conscious decision and stuck his boot into the lad's leg, foolish in the extreme.
De Gea flung himself at the ball in what is considered an act of desperation - Skrtel was in full flow tear arsing in the direction of the goal, the 'keeper put his body in the way.
The result of such 'heroics' by the keeper invariably results in a booking or injury, it is a calculated tactic by the 'keeper because the ref always gives him the benefit of any doubt. The farcical writhing and rolling about for a full 5 minutes confirmed De Gea's motives.
There was only one F***ing side that benefitted with the referee's doubt in that game.

Looks accidental. It is reported that Skrtel says it was accidental.

Yet some here want to claim he intentionally went to "stamp" on the leg.

Imagine if Skrtel came out and said 'We were getting beat and I was frustrated so I intended to stamp on him, he is a manc, f**k him, I wanted to break his leg'. As soon as he admits there is intent then he would face a very lengthy ban.

Skrtels challenge wasn't as serious as this but after Roy Keane wrote his book and admitted to purposely injuring Haland, the FA punished him for it even though he was given a straight red at the time and served a ban already. So of course Skrtel is going to deny any intent. If he admits intent he would be banned for months.

Think you need to watch the replay again mate. He purposely stamped on De Gea and deserves his ban IMO. If a manc had done that to one of our players we would be going nuts on here.

so what does this mean, if FA still find him guilty is the length of ban increased??
its his word against FA and we all know how that turns out.

Here's the thing, after watching it several times, I don't actually believe it was deliberate, he will still get banned though.  Not for the stamp itself, but because it was a reckless challenge. I don't think the FA can reduce this to a yellow, as it should have been, so the red will stand.

I don't see how his light stamp is any worse than Jones's kick on Lallana.

Apparently Martin has posted a photograph of three crowns on instagram. One of the clowns is holding 3 fingers. Some sort of dig at the FA/United.

If he did it accidentally you would expect to see him apologising to De Gea.

Which could have occurred because De Gea accused him of doing it deliberately as well.

Honestly, after getting ripped for Gerrards stamp and its obviousness I never really looked at Skrtls.. Judging by the angle shown, its way more debatable than I thought.. Didn't change stride or anything...?

He was a naughty boy and deserves his punishment. We have done ourselves a lot of damage to our season from last weekend, let's hope when He and Gerrard are available we are still in the fight for fourth and the hunt for the FA Cup

This is bullshit and it was his stride. The world has gone mad, don't mention certain players but non- English; yeah, lets F**k them over.

Not sure that sort of response is necessary considering Fed said exactly what a few others have been saying. Are we Chelsea supporting tools too? Grow up!

can't change anything now, hope the club have a quiet word about the instagram post however funny or appropriate it was, not worth risking an extra ban or fine from the fa fuckwits.
