      Pre-Match: Liverpool FC v QPR 2nd May 15.00

Most of us seem to have given up on the season but apparently there is a game on at the weekend.
With nothing but pride left to play for, it's time we tried something radical like scrapping the players and tactics which have failed to deliver.

Gerrard will be back pal, he was rested on tuesday. Lucas is training again as well.

don't be surprised if Lallana starts too.

No way couthino will be dropped.

I was not dropping Coutinho mate just think he could do with a rest and a chance to try out something different rather than the Johnson, Lambert, Gerrard etc

Fair doos ma man. Get where your coming from, I just don't see BR doing it just yet, once 5th or 6th is secure he will defo put in some of the u-21s. But I can see gerrard playing very game now, it is his last month as LFC player. :-(

      might be this. 3-4-3

      ----------------- Mings ----------------

      ------- Can - Skirtl - Lovren ---------
      - Hendo - Gerrard - Allen - Johnson -
      ------- Coutinho--Lallana------------
      ------------- Sterling -----------------

If that can't beat QPR we should just pack in and start a baseball team. ;D

Absolutely no point playing Johnson, Gerrard, Balotelli, Borini, Lambert and anyone else who isn't going to be here next season.

None of them have done much to merit a start anyway and if Brendan is serious about turning things around I think he should start this weekend.

      Mignolet

      Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno

      Can

      Henderson Allen

Might be this, not what I think it should be, just what I think BR will do. He may throw a curveball in and start Lambo, but I doubt it. Lucas is fit too, but probably be in bench.

I couldn't care less about what Stevie wants. He's leaving.

Lambert hardly needs a shop window as we every one knows what he's about.

So Si, do we play Balotelli up front on his own again? He has been cr@p yet Rodgers keeps picking him.
Would it not be good if we got something different to try in this match? As it is it wouldn't make any difference with the same team as before the way we are playing.

Also, he should/should have used the large squad he has rather than try to *prove everyone* wrong about Balotelli by picking him over and over again when he is absolute dross.

No confidence in this game, the team, or the manager right now. and with QPR fighting for survival I believe they will put in a dogged performance.

      1:2 to QPR I reckon.

      How depressing.

      See my post earlier mate.

There's more than a handful of players I wouldn't play again this season.

Mario is very much among them.

Markovic, Coutinho and Ibe front three for me.

      Balo is injured.

So its toss up between Lambo & Borini or sterling again.

disagree about Stevie G, he is still the Captain right up until he leaves, he will play most if not all games from now till end of season. With a bit of luck he might just have a good game as well. ;D

You never know mate playing a big stationary lump up front might work on the 35th time of asking!!

Sounds like Gerrard will be playing.  As much as I would like to see us play with two up front - I know that Brendan won't do that.

Yay we are saved, two of the quickest and most dynamic players we have! No doubt the players will be all fired up as usual under the sage motivational words of Brendan "best manager in the world or at least for LFC" Rodgers.

Going for a 2 0 win for the Reds tomorrow, although after the last three abysmal performances, against Aston Villa, West Brom and Hull, there is little to be confident about. I suppose it is just being a Liverpool supporter you have to carry on showing belief no matter how bad things seem.

What difference has it made so far with Balo injured or not?
Also, why o why or why *doesn't* Brendan play TWO up front? It worked last year. Two is better than one even if it is not of the same quality as Suarez.

Does my head in that - not playing two up front.

Debs touched on this and it is probably true his preferred formation is probably 433 with one striker and two wide players.

Great formation if you have the players!
