Again, just like Marsh, how the f**k do you know if Pascoe was or wasn't a good coach?

      Cause they were rubbish...

Someone has been told to work with a new team if they want to keep their job.

Basically, they like BR's ideas, but are not impressed with the way they are implemented by the coaching staff, hence the change.

It is likely Liverpool will now look to bring in another ex-player to bolster their backroom team. (Paul Joyce) #lfc

      Exactly....

I'd say BR knows now that failure is not tolerated and will need to improve every aspect to survive...

Is that not a negative for Brendan Swab?

Brendan cannot even implement training through his own coaching staff?

Say's a lot more about Brendan than Marsh or Pascoe if you ask me.

Surely Pascoe was implementing the same philosophy under Rodgers at Swansea?.

      Rodgers has been undermined.

FSG expect by destabilising Rodgers he may walk rather than sack him & pay out the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

The stand out choices seem to be Carra and Sami but I saw Zenden mentioned before. Didn't seem to do too bad with Rafa in their short stint at Chelsea.

Depending on who they bring in, this feels like a bit of a castration for the boss. Unless it was Brendan that wanted rid (and I find that hard to believe) then the owners have now taken more power away from Brendan.

Sami for me, worked well overall under an awkward regime at Leverkusen whilst no doubt flopped at Brighton, he should have the chance to redeem himself, or get somebody with decent credentials.

Phlean & that Dutch fella were there a while behind the scenes implementing Fergies training methods, Fergie never had a solid number 2 because he never needed one because he was good at what he did.

Maybe i am dreaming here , but I really would like a true LIVERPOOL man as  the next assistent,
one who have played/coached, and especially a defensive coach too

A postman doesn't earn that much these days, about £18k I'd guess, not too much in football terms (j/k) :D

In all seriousness Colin wouldn't have been on that much in comparison to Brendan, he also apparently only had 1 year to run, so the financial package for severing that contract wouldn't exactly hurt much.

I think Shabs theory is an interesting one.

Just waiting for the committee and Ayre to get sacked. Only then will sackings on the football front make sense if not then it's a disgrace.

Pascoe never impressed me, didn't look like a motivator, tactician or leader. Everytime you see him he was walking around in shorts smiling patting players on the back. Was never a fan.

When your battling for what we want, you need some personality and experience in that backroom, especially when our manager still lacks quite abit for the job.

You need a bad cop/good cop scenario and with rodgers and pascoe there aint a bit of aggression in the two of them.

Id like to think Rodgers would go for someone defensively minded ie. Hyppia or Carra but cant see latter leaving Sky. The pundit dosh is too good and stress free !
