Johnson just chipped it straight to Ballance off the bowling of Broad.

England have been superb this morning. Listening to it (at work!) on radio  thanks to Test Match Special. I know it's only a short time into his tenure but so far England seem a lot more positive, attacking and prepared under Bayliss.

Anderson cleans it up. Taken by Root in the slips.

308 all out, they trail by 122.

      Starc gone for 0. 308 all out, what a morning! 73 minutes, 42 runs(ish?), 5 wickets. Quality.

      Phenomenal morning from England.

What can Australia do with the ball?

Apparently the last time England had a first innings lead in the first test of an Ashes series was Edgbaston 1997. :o

Watson blows a start, Haddin flashy and throws it away, tail does nothing and Starc gets the breakthrough.

      Couldn't be more predictable.

Cook off to a great start in this ashes then  He's so frustrating to watch. One day he's quality, the next few he's poor.

Oh Starcy. Got Ballance in all sorts early.

Roll a few at the top and we could be back in it. Although it's usually the English middle order that punishes us.

Lunch time. England win another session.
